That soup does sound good. Care to share the recipe?

Woke up this morning to piles and piles of snow. Thankfully I got my snow tires yesterday!

Today is going to be cardio only at the gym. Then I teach piano and I'm spending Friday and Saturday nights at bf's house.

Breakfast: mushroom omelet, fake sausage rounds
Lunch: something with roast broccoli
Dinner: Swiss Chalet festive special

You would really laugh that school was cancelled today if you saw what it's like out. The DJ was talking about how people here can't drive in the snow. After playing a Celine Dion song, she said she'd bet that Celine, being Canadia,

It's just a small cold but I'm so whiney about it! My husband told me I should see a doctor.

Ya never know Jean - I'm supposed to go see the doc anytime I have any sore throat, in case it's possibly strep. With a mitral valve prolapse, supposedly the little buggers can go wreak havoc in the heart.

How long have you had it? Maybe you should go?

I felt dryness in my throat on Monday or Tuesday.

Myabe you're just fighting it well, and at the end of the day when you're more tired it comes back? That is odd! Maybe try eating lots of really healthy hydrating food (with of garlic if you like - garlic is known to be a wide-spectrum antibiotic) and not tiring yourself out too much.

I have to do the antibiotics thing before the dentist. It's a pain with military ins.! I think a murmur is considered very mild, not as big a deal as a prolapse. Thankfully my prolapse is borderline between murmur and prolapse, so it's not a tremendous concern. *whew*

I think any way you eat is helpful, though raw may be the best. I don't know.. I usually cook it if I'm going to eat it, and have successfully fought off colds with it before.

And if you're laying low anyway... who cares if you smell like garlic?? :-)
