Hey guys we are home. Our feet our killing us as is my bank account. Yikes. We went $84 over ou limit of what we can bring back but I think the guy didn't want to be bothered with the paperwork. He asked me how often I go to the US and I hummed and hawed and said last time was March. So I guess he figured I was okay to be a little over.

We had fun at the fair but our feet are still killing us. We were there for 8 hours and still had about 1/3 we didn't even get to. There were so many animals and cool things to see we didn't bother going to the commercial exhibits. Kristen went on quite a few rides, I "almost" threw up on the last one. It was very very close and I just kept trying to concentrate on something else and just keep swallowing. That would have been a tad embarrassing. Kristen didn't feel great either and I think it was the funnel cake. It was MASSIVE and greasy and covered in sugar and cherry pie filling. Afterwards we both felt gross and the smell of those greasy food stands was revolting. We didn't eat too much junk, some home-made curly fries, then two soft tacos for lunch and the dreaded funnel cake. We steared waaaaaay clear of the deep fried twinkies and alligator on a stick. We came back to the hotel, crashed for a bit then walked across the street to the Denny's and had potroast and mashed potatoes. The idea of anything deep fried still made us queazy.

The hotel was "adequate" for what we paid. No mold in the bathrooms and a huge TV with nearly 100 channels. LOL The "breakfast" left something to be desired. Dry day old donuts and juice. Today we skipped the

Glad you had a good time. I laughed when you described how you dealt with being on one of the rides. We went to Canada's Wonderland on Tuesday and DH and I went on a rollercoaster called Top Gun. I love rollercoasters but not this one. It was not a smooth ride and I felt like i was going to fall out. I also kept trying to think of something else. When it was over i felt like i was going to be sick. I will know for next year to steer clear of Top Gun.
Does Kristen enjoy shopping? Tegan loves it and Kelsey hates it. I am looking for to the day i can leave Kelsey at home if Tegan and I want to go to the mall.
I went to Claire's today. They had a bunch of things on sale for .99 that were normally $8.99 or more. Anyway i bought a ton of stocking stuffers for the girls. I believe with the things i got them in January there stockings are now full!!
Nothing makes me feel better then finding a good deal....LOL

BTW- We tried funnel cake for the first time at Wonderland and loved it. Keep in mind we split one because they are huge.

Actually Kristen generally HATES shopping. But once I get her going she's okay. I sort of have to get her psyched up for it and of course it all has to be about her. LOL

The things we mostly got were sugar-free jello in more exotic flavours. We eat alot of sugar-free jello and here have about 5 flavours, so we got strawberry banana and peach and a couple of others and the other was sugar free cooked pudding. You basically can't get sugar free cooked pudding here and I DETEST instant pudding. There were a few other snacky things like 100 calorie packs of doritos (I think), some stuff was cheaper like the little microwaveable canned pastas which are good for Kristen to have as an afternoon snack and these odd like pudding cakes that you add water and microwave. That's an experiment. We also got strawberries and cream Pepsi. Sounds too weird for me, but I suppose Kristen will drink it or we'll give it to her father. That's about it. Most stuff we can get in Canada, but sometimes its just less selection like the jello and pudding. Oh I remember, a couple of boxes of the Capri Sun drinks for her school lunch, again, more flavours than we have in Canada and way cheaper.

I was wondering the same thing too about what you purchased at the American grocery store. When my nephew was in Spain, I sent him Skittles because he couldn't find any!

Glad you had a wonderful time at the Fair and shopping. I like Funnel Cakes pretty well, but my all-time favorite fair food is Elephant Ears. Oh My, another heart attack on a plate but oh so good!!

Thanks for the report!
