Anyone started shopping for Christmas?

I ordered a really nice colander for myself tonight. I remembered that my brother (lives in NY) colander was sort of worn out when we were there in April...so I ordered one for him for X-mas. (I try to get him a cooking thing every year because he loves to cook) So...I have officially started X-mas shopping!

I have 2 brothers. One lives in Hudson, NY & the other in Orlando, Fl. I get both of them certain things each year. For example...NY bro...I get him something for his kitchen, something Grateful Dead'ish (he's a 'Dead Head') & something with the Simpsons on it. Then my bro in Orlando...he gets a baseball thing (Last year I got him this really groovy baseball bat pepper grinder. It's about 2 ft. tall), something with Southpark on it & a tee-shirt that has one of his favorite college teams on it.

I have started thinking about it but haven't bought anything. Dh, Alex and Matthew all have birthdays in October so I have to get those out of the way first. I like planning ahead though. We bought Matthew's Halloween costume in August because he found it on sale on the internet.

I have only bought one gift so far, a CD for Kayleigh. I had not planned to start shopping in August but I had to order some books and I was a little short for my free shipping so I figured why not add on the CD and get the free shipping since I'd have bought it for her eventually anyhow.

Well, in a way--Sami's computer is her Christmas present.

I started a few weeks ago. Jordyn saw a kitty cat wire planter at the store and wanted to get my grandmother it, so we bought that. I also bought Jordyn some American Girl bath stuff. I have a list made up of ideas of what to get people, and keep it in mind in case I come across anything while I am out. Both my brothers are in college at the moment, so I was thinking we may get them each gift certificates to the college bookstore to help with book costs.

Jordyn was supposed to be getting a computer for Christmas, I have been planning it for 6 months, but with the enormous increase in her gymnastics fees and a baby on the way, we may not be able to swing it now. Maybe I can find some really great deal at the Black Friday sales after Thanksgiving and can still manage it, but we'll have to see.

I have been getting little knick knacks for stocking stuffers but not big stuff. I was just informed this morning though, that we will cruising the Mexican Riviera for Christmas. DH says "No gifts".....we'll see about that. =)

I've gotten a lot done.

I have purchased for dh's entire family, dh is done, my son is done, my mom is done... I'm knitting my sister and her dh a winter set (just started on the knitting) and my family does a name draw for the adults (so I still have to wait for the name draw to see who dh and I end up with).

So I will have two adults to buy for (name draw), I have my sister and dh to knit for and dh still has to shop for my gifts. Aside from that I just have stocking stuffers to do.

All gifts have been wrapped and anything that needed to be shipped has been shipped.

I found a ton of "girlie" stuff on the Target Dollar area to put in DD"s stocking, but that is it!
