What time does your child go to bed?

Please give your child's age, what time they go to bed and what time they get up in the morning. Do you feel they are getting enough sleep and if not how you are trying to rectify it? If you have more then one child do you they all go to bed at the same time or is bedtime staggered? Does your child have a routine or do you send them to bed when you feel they are getting tired? Does your child liked to be tucked in?
Thanks ladies you are all so wonderful to answer my questions.

We have a 10 y/o son and 7 y/o daughter. At first she went to bed earlier, but then we realized they both need about the same sleep. They go around 8:30 which means really sleeping no earlier than 9. We wake them at 7 for school, and it is a challenge sometimes. The doctor says they need more sleep than the average kid. One of the boys in my son's class goes at 10:30 and has to be up earlier cause they live farther away and carpool. I can't imagine our son functioning on that amount of sleep. We read to each kid and do still tuck them in. They've both asked for later times, but I think they realize they need the sleep. We don't vary it on weekends because their internal clocks are set to wake up fairly early so staying up late backfires the next day when they are cranky.

Emily is 12 1/2 and in 7th grade!

Her bedtime is anywhere from 10-11pm!

Our target time and the time I would feel best about is 9:45-10, however with all of her activities it just isn't feasible!

My son Quinn will be 13 on Oct. 23. He generally gets in bed around 9:10-9:15. He reads for about 15 minutes, then turns off his reading light. He is one of those people who can fall asleep within 5 minutes or so. (lucky) He gets up at 5:45am. So he gets right at 8 hours of sleep. It seems to be enough sleep because he gets up without too much trouble. Every once in awhile he will ask if he can sleep an extra 5 minutes. Yes, even at 12 years old, he still expects me to tuck him in & I enjoy it. I always tell him I love him, scratch his back for him a little bit, give him a kiss, ask him if there is something special he wants for breakfast the next morning, I pull the covers up around him & turn off his light for him.

I forgot to mention that on Friday & Saturday nights, he stays up until around 1am.

I think it's wonderful that Quinn still likes to be tucked in. Tegan will be 13 Nov 30th and she will always come to me for a kiss goodnight. When DH is home both girls always want him to tuck them in. I still tuck Kelsey( Feb 96) in every night but Tegan is usually doing something in her room so i just peek my head in the door and give her a quick kiss. When she is going to bed she will seek me out for a kiss.
We like to have Kelsey in bed around 9 sometimes it is a little earlier and sometimes it is a little later. Tegan is in bed around 9:30 but she reads for 45 min-1 hour so it is usually 10:15-10:30 before she is asleep. Both girls are up at 7:15.
I would like Kelsey to get a little more sleep then she is currently getting because she will eventually get miserable and then we all pay. I would like her to get an extra 1/2 hour each night but sometimes it isn't possible.
On the weekends we let them stay up until 11 or maybe 11:30.

Emily gets 2 hours of homework per night? Is this work that has not been completed in class or separate homework? DD in eighth grade gets hardly any homework. So far she gets one writing assignment per week, I don't think she has had any math homework yet and she has a geography test on Tuesday.
Do you think 2 hours per night is too much? I think DDs would lose their minds. They still need time to be kids and to decompress.

Matthew is 11, he goes to his room by 9:30 but probably falls asleep around 10 or 11pm. He gets up around 6:30am.
