What would you do

I have not one, but 2 slightly black eyes! And a cut across the bridge of my nose. Monday afternoon, Quinn & I were getting totes of X-mas stuff off an overhead shelf in our garage. Quinn was up on the ladder & I was reaching up to sort of slide the totes off the edge as they were too heavy for him to lift down to me. I sort of lost control of one of them & it hit me in my face. It cut the brigde of my nose (not too bad) & as a result...I have 2 black eyes. They are not too bad, just sort of purple on the inside areas of my eys. They are more purple today than yesteday. One of my eyes is bloodshot on the inside white part. I can't cover it up with make-up. I look rather silly. It hurt Monday night & yesterday, but today it doesn't hurt unless I lean over.
Well...I just got in from my daily walk & there is a message on my answering machine. It's from a lady calling me in for an interview. She's asked that I call her back after 2:30 today to sch an interview possibly for Friday. When I call her back to sch the interview, should I say something like "By the way, I just wanted to let you know that I have 2 black eyes." And maybe briefly tell her what happened. Or should I just not say anything & explain when I go in for the interview...OR perhaps I would be better off to sch it for next week & perhaps the blackeyes will be gone???
It's sort of funny because Quinn had a blackeye about 2 months ago (his 1st one ever). I went out in the yard to talk to my neighbor yesterday afternoon & she said "What happened? Did Quinn get you back for the blackeye you gave him?" LOL!

I wouldn`t say anything until I arrive for the interview. Then I'd use it as an ice-breaker. "Gee, I hope you don't think I was in a fight last night. My son and I were trying to get our Christmas decorations down and they attacked me. Thankfully it wasn't anything too heavy."

I'm sure everyone will chuckle since we've all had stuff like that happen and it might make everyone feel at ease.

Hope you are all healed up soon. Sounds nasty.

I would go and explain later. In a day or so, it may not be noticable anyway! I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead & sch the interview. I didn't say anything & will try to laugh it off when I go in. Should be a good ice breaker.

I didn't think about it possibly working to my advantage. Good point!

I went ahead & called my doctors office. They suggested that I call my eye doctor. So...I have an appt. in the morning. The eye with the blood shot in it throbs more than the other when I lean over or if I cough. And if that isn't enough fun, I had the hiccups this afternoon & everytime I hiccuped, it would throb! I can't remember the last time I had the hiccups.
