Ian and I are hanging out at home this morning while Kayleigh is off running errands with Dh. I am not 100% recovered yet from being sick Tuesday night/yesterday.
I'm a sickie I have to recuperate in time for New Year's with my friends. I'm just going to lay low, post in the dyk thread, watch food tv, nap, bake some cookies, clean something........
DH and Hannah are going cross country skiing. It's a beautiful sunny day, they will have a blast.
No big plans today. I went and exchanged Kristen's skates for a bigger size. I was hoping to buy a tree for next year at 1/2 off, but I guess that won't be happening. Then I went to get her skates sharpened and bought the jumbo size bottle of cough syrup. I bought her a magazine so she's been reading and we are just having another lazy slow day.
Good morning/afternoon! Today's Mackenzie's 13th birthday so we had an early start..made everyone chocolate chip pancakes then we scooted out the door for some shopping. We're having yet another Blizzard here in Denver in a week so I wanted to get out and back home before it built up too badly. She'd asked me a long time ago to get second holes pierced and I'd told her to wait till she was 13. She was totally suprised and probably wouldn't have gone through with it if her friend wasn't there and so excited about it for her! HAHA! Her party is postponed to next week due to the weather. The rest of the day will mean chocolate birthday cake and snow! Even though I had to go to several stores, I did finally find milk, bread and eggs! The Gov. is now shutting everything down in the city by three pm before the storm gets bad so I'm glad I'm back home already!
Thanks! I'm a southern transplant, this is only my second winter in Denver...this is the first storm that didn't give me a warm fuzzy inside! Normally I love snow but I guess seeing cars still buried up to their windows from last week is a bleak reminder that its not going away anytime soon. That's okay, I always grow where I'm planted and very adaptable! This is just a very new phenomenon for us! :)

Morning!
Have a few things left to do online and then I am off to clean like a mad woman!
I got the entire main floor cleaned, X-mas deco put away and reorganized all yesterday!
