Pretty good week! Low key Christmas with just us and an awesome holiday meal! Worked a few days, had Mack's birthday (then dealt with her attitude when we had to postpone her party due to yet another blizzard). Her bad attitude only got worse when her friend spent the night last night causing dad to really come down hard on her. I felt he was a bit harsh on her but it was a long time in coming and she really needed it. Her friend DID SAY that her dad gets mad at her too, but he's usually much louder and yells and screams...that HER dad doesn't 'talk' until several hours later. That made me feel better that even when he was being harsh, it WAS talking and not yelling!
We went 4-wheel driving, stopping to pull a truck out of the snow, and made it to the movie store to stock up...now we're all warm in the house and looking forward to a quiet weekend snowed in at home!
Monday: Good day although dinner was so-so. Looking for a better duck recipe. But it was a nice day.
Tuesday: We did didley squat except spend about 12 straight hours on the computer playing Nancy Drew games.
Wednesday: Kristen had her appointment with the dental surgeon for a consult, date of tooth removal is Jan. 10, then we ran around finding a new karaoke machine.
Thursday: Very little again, I ran out and exchanged her skates for a bigger size and got them sharpened and got more cough syrup.
Friday: We went skating this afternoon and then to the grocery store to pick up another steak and a few other things. How come a "few other things" turns into $90?
No big plans for the weekend. Probably go skating again and maybe Sunday night (NYE) to the local family event very close to us if the weather is good. But that's about it. Enjoying our time off. I started a new book so I'll do some more reading but nothing too exciting.
OUR WEEK WAS PRETTY GOOD
