I have a recipe box that has some old recipes that I use. But mostly we get stuff off the internet and try it once then forget it. Not big on making the same thing over and over at our house. I never follow exactly unless it is baking then I do, but for cooking main dishes if I don't have something I subsititute or just skip it.

How do you store your recipes? I have about five WORD documents that I cut and paste recipes into on the computer. About once a year I go through and print them and organize into a binder.

Do you follow a recipe to the ?T? or add this and that? The first time I'm usually following the recipe. If I do make changes I mark it on the paper so I remember but I ALWAYS add more garlic, things like that. I also put a note on it (1-5 stars), who loved/hated it and why.

Bonus ? Do you post what your having for dinner in this thread? I did the first week but then we were gone and I forgot about it...eek!

Well, I have lots and lots of cookbooks that I use, I have my few favorites and then a ton of Southern Living compilations, I keep a list in the index of recipes that worked that I want to repeat.

I have a small file to keep paper recipes separate and a few cook books.
I usually make it according to the recipe unless we want to change something.
I don't use the dinner planner site, usually don't have any idea what's for dinner.

i'm like you tam. I don't like to make the same thing over and over. I print the recipe off, make it and then in the trash it goes
