Morning Ladies,

I hadn't checked in for a few days, so I thought I'd better!

I have 4 day care kids today : 4 mo, 2.5 yo, 5 yo & 7 yo. The 2.5 yo is getting picked up soon because his sister has a dentist appt today and their Mom is taking the rest of the day off. I have a dentist appt later and then AJ and I are going to the fair and maybe the demo derby tonight. It's another scorcher out there today!

The puppies are doing fine, growing like weeds and their eyes should be opening this week. Still no word on our Grandson...

Hugs,

Good morning! I'm hosting a fancy schmancy dinner tonight for one of DH's peers (check out my menu on that thread!) so I was up at 6am surfing the net for a dessert recipe because I discovered he DIDN"T LIKE CHOCOLATE? What's wrong with him? Decided on a caramel pecan cheesecake so it's already done and in the fridge chilling.

TODAY IS THE DAY! My widdle baby boy takes his driving test! He's going to be so crushed if he fails, and he's so nervous! I'm making dad take him, I couldn't handle it if he failed, I'd be bawling too! I FAILED my first time...he didn't like hearing that! LOL!

I'll be putzing in the kitchen and cleaning house most of the day!

Good morning. Not much going on. Jordyn is at practice til 4:00 and Emma is at the sitter's. The apartment complex we live in is having some sort of National Night Out thing at the clubhouse tonight. We may stop by and see what its all about and then we'll get dinner.

That's it for us. Have a great day, Tracy

I've been working on getting up early (not as early as I need to be, but earlier than I had been). I did some things on the computer like updated my sub packet as much as I could right now, tweaked my first week lesson plans, burned those 2 things on a cd-rw that I will use to transport files all year, burned my Disney pictures on a disk, etc etc.

Then, I woke sleepyhead up and we went to Blockbuster & my school. Totally organized the cabinets (the SPED teacher that I share a room with was there so I was able to ask her what was okay to move). She will only be using 2 drawers & one cabinet. I made a whole cabinet for the para in my class (she didn't have one before--just her drawer which I left alone). And I made space for paper towels & wipes & Kleenex (hopefully, I'll actually GET Kleenex this year--last year less than half of my homeroom didn't bring the ONE box on their list, so I requested we put TWO boxes on our list because my last box had to come from a 7th grade teacher because 6th grade was completely out--6 homerooms out of Kleenex!!!).

Then, we came home & I dropped my last roll of Disney film off at Walgreen's. Need to head back there now & stop at the bank.

Be back soon!

Busy day for us. We went and visited out neighbors in the US of A. Wow I hate those big bridges over the St. Lawrence though. After Minneapolis I was freaking paranoid, but we made it there and back. Must say the mall in Massena is pretty hokey. Tons of closed stores, only half the food court full of food stands. Pretty pitiful. But we got to see some stores we don't normally see. Kristen got some jeans at JC Penny and another store called Deb. Then we went to Office Depot and got a couple of things for school and to a grocery store to see what kind of cool products you have that we don't. I did get a pair of Reebok sneakers for $14. Okay, granted they have the logo of the Philadelphia Eagles on them but no one here will know what that eagle head means. LOL I figure $14 for Reeboks was worth the logo. Oh and I got one pair of pants at JC Penny. Kristen goes "You only got one pair of pants." Ummm, you noticed huh? Where all the money was going? LOL

We went searching for a store called Fashion Bug we went to in Syracuse last year and Kristen got alot of good stuff. We found it and it sucked. She wanted skirts and they only skirts in the Jr. sizes they had were size 10 and up. Ummmm. She's a size 4. Hello, Jr.? So we left and came back to the Canadian side and went to a mall there and got her a couple of skirts and tops for school. Now she needs flats, no luck on those. Of course we spent waaaaaay over our $50 limit each so I had to pay $30 in tax at the border. So I didn't really save any money but at least she no longer has the exact same jeans as every other kid in school. LOL I have to hem them up though.

So that was our big day. Got back home around 7:30 and ended up buying KFC for dinner. Not very good or healthy but I was pooped from driving over 3 hours and walking around so much and the idea of cooking was not going well.

We had a fun day though. Kristen was in a good mood, didn't complain about trying on numerous pairs of jeans, did NOT want skirts that show off her undies (very aware of the fingertip rule for school) and we laughed lots and chatted in the car. So over all a good day except for our freaky bridge experiences. LOL
