I've been reading this book, Rethinking Thin, that follows four people through a two year weight loss program at UPenn.

Also, did you realize that clothes manufacterers over the years have increased measurements to women's sizes?

Also, with the media being what it is, it seems that world is a much more competitive place to be in.

Definitely--we've talked about that here, too.

Yep, exactly--we're striving for an ideal that is unhealthy. How sad is that? I realized that no matter what weight I am, I wanted to lose another 5 pounds. That's when I decided that as long as I'm a healthy weight, I might as well be happy w/ the lifestyle and not aim to be too thin for my body and STILL want to be thinner (which always happens). Being that much thinner requires way too much work and if it doesn't add anything, why bother?
