I've always wondered why we didn't see treadmills and all hooked up to electical generators since we must expend tons of energy at the gym.

Very interesting. I think it would be totally neat to see how much energy I could generate. I'd definitely go for something like this in my home too. ;)

i actually think there already is such a thing, but what would be cool is treadmill or bike powered tvs in people's houses so that kids (or adults) could only watch tv or play videos games if they worked out enough to power the tv.

Yeah, I do feel like that hamster but I'd feel better about it if I were doing some good for the world while working out.

That makes a lot of sense, although if you already feel like a hamster on a wheel while on the treadmill, obviously that feeling will increase if you know you're helping to generate the electricity.
