Ab Reps?

I know this is a hotly debated issue but I'm trying to do a simple down and dirty weight workout since I'm getting used to the routine with the new puppy. So I was wondering what you think a good mumber of reps are for an ab workout? I'm doing crunches on a fitness ball and bicycles - (Is that what they're called?) I'm doing 20 to 30 reps at a time, 4 to 5 sets. Is that good enough? Normally, I'd do 3 or 4 different types of ab exercises but I don't have the time right now. Thanks, Cathy

Abs are no different than any other muscle group and you should be doing exercises that are intense enough and with correct form to fatigue in 10-15 reps.

A srt said, you need to work hard enough to fatigue in 8-15 reps. Doing a ton of crunches is like doing a ton of bicep curls with 3 lb weights.
