Just a thought about your meals...if you start to hit a plateau, you might start reading about glycemic index regarding food to see if that sustains you longer.

Funny, I do the opposite. I eat my starches early in the day so I can energy to fuel everything I need but figured after dinner is my down time so I don't need energy after. But, I do have a big starch meal if I'm planning a long run (over 10 miles) the next morning.
