Hello - my name is Kelly, I have 3 kids 6 1/2, 4 1/2 & almost 2... I was in the BEST shape of my life when I got pg with my last... which is now almost 3 years ago!! I am in need of some support, advise, tips... I love all the advise I have gotten from ladies on here on so many different boards I knew as soon as I found this one I had to check it out!!

I just started back to the gym & am taking a spinning class, which I LOVE... never thought I would, but I do. I am also running in hopes to run 5Ks this spring/summer. I need some motivation, but also some tips for some workouts for strength training the upper body & core ( i guess) to get rid of the baby belly!!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!!

Believe me, if I didn't LOVE the classes, so far & the gym itself, I would never go there. They are VERY pushy about getting you to sign up for stuff.
I was a runner, 500 years ago in high school, cross country & 2 mile in track, so I have it in me, it's just getting that endurance back up..

That's a terrible free session! I do them at our gym and it's a whole hour at least where you're shown how to use the machines, what to do, we put together a whole program. I

don't know how experienced of a runner you are, but you can find good training programs online for 5Ks, which i would recommend if you haven't done a race before.

Thanks!! Our gym does do an initial 'free training session', but it's all an effort to get you to sign up for monthly personal training sessions that add $40 or $50 a month to your membership, which I just can't do. He showed me some GREAT leg exercises, but the rest he was going to cover on our first 'real' session. I will def check out the core exercises & be checking on here, especially for the journal!!
