I bought these:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002U1U1G/ref=asc_df_B0002U1U1G819253?smid=A349K2XZ4Y11JX&tag=nextag-hpc-mp-delta-20&linkCode=asn

...but now I need ideas on what to do with them. As a PT, my immediate thought is to different exercises standing on them on one leg but I know the class instructors out there probably have some wacky ideas that I haven't thought of.

Confession: I also wanted a new gym toy. :D I did. I admit it. Plus, they are light and small enough to take to my sessions.

I have a friend who has them but she uses them more for basic balance training for older rehab clients.

What a workout today! Definitely a challenge with the Versasteps. I'm definitely not used to them, that's for sure. Jean - thanks for the ideas. I used your idea about setting them up at different "times" to do forward lunge, squat, etc. That worked quite well although the balance was very tricky. I ended up using a broomstick for balance. I also tried your suggestion to put two in a row and then keep moving them and stepping forward. That proved to be a bit too difficult so I just set up them all up and practiced walking from one end of the room to the other. I also did more standard exercises on them (front and lateral raises and bicep curls). I've decided that my Monday lift day is going to be my heavy weights day and my Friday lift day is going to focus more on balance and stability (or what I fondly refer to as seal-tricks).

If any of you try these, let me know what you think.

I'll borrow my friend's and see what I can do with them. I haven't seen one in a while and can't remember how squishy they are.
