What were you afraid of as a child that seems silly to you now?

Are you kids afraid of anything?

Really the only thing is spiders I guess. I still don't "like" them but can take care of them when needed. I was afraid of snakes and still am so don't think that's silly. LOL But I never had any weird phobias like clowns or balloons or something.

DD is also afraid of spiders and the dark but that's about it for her.

The EBS system warning beep--you know, the high-pitched one.

Thanks to Kelly (mom2emsopmax) for my beautiful siggy! Photobucket

I was afraid of the incinerator room and the "basement" of our apartment building.

Kayleigh is afraid of nothing. I don't remember her ever being afraid of anything

Well I was made to lay in bed for a nap and I got to watch a black spider crawl across the ceiling and eventually FALL on my bed..I was probably three and I still remember it vividly!

I was afraid of our attic. The door was in my room and I swore I heard noises coming from up there on a regular basis. I'm still afraid of thunderstorms and high winds. I've lived through a tornado (on the other side of town thankfully) several very damaging windstorms and a microburst. Had my fill of wind, thanks.

My kids... Evan's not really scared of too much but isn't thrilled with the dark. Megan used to afraid of spiders and people in costumes but does fine with both now. She's still afraid of the dark (she's only 7 so I'll cut her some slack) and sleeps with a dim light on underneath her loft bed.

First, the real fear--which is thunderstorms.
