If you friend BOSU on facebook, you can get a special code to get BOSU XPlode for only $20.

I've been waiting for this series because the exercises look so usable for class and training. I can't wait!

Did you see the exercises? Douglas Brooks had some fun ones--one w/ a football shuffle, and then quick burpees/push ups (fun, jump from standing to a push up position and then jump up to standing again). I'm going to use that one in class. I can't wait to see the rest. I need new ideas.

Nope. I didn't investigate too much. I just thought it would be something new for me to do at home and possibly teach my clients. :)

Yeah, tons of stuff that I already do but I figured there would be some new things. I've been using the BOSU as a weight--like going from burpees to picking up the BOSU and pushing it overhead in a shoulder press. I was like, hey that's mine!!!

Ok, those burpees and then raising the bosu overhead are KILLER.

I do that move with the burpee and the overhead press w/ the BOSU in my class. When I saw it, I thought, hey, that's mine! We do it on one leg. Was it Mindy Mylrea's video with the sculpted woman? Mindy Mylrea had a contest at DCAC one year on who could do the most one arm push ups. She won and it was some crazy high number. And, she's not young--she has a son who's graduated from college. She's a riot. I have the feeling they're all very careful about what they eat to look that way, though not in a bad way.

Okay, I just tried that jump to push up position, back up to football shuffle. It's okay. Not that challenging. Someone told me it's better if you hold the BOSU, flat side towards you, you fall onto the BOSU on the floor and do a burpee. Holding the BOSU, I couldn't make myself fall forward and land on it, but good thing w/ my shoulder the way it is. It would be hard to explain that one to the doctor.

So bummed! Just watched the Todd Durkin and Douglas Brooks (who I love) portion of this and learned no knew moves. I should probably keep in mind that it's for working out and not for teaching new stuff but I was hoping to get something new. I'll watch the rest when I have time. At least I didn't pay $99 for it!
