Do you change your workouts according to seasons? I know people who spend winters doing more cardio and more weights during the summer and just wondered why. Do you do

In general, my answer is an overwhelming, "YES."

Yes, but not intentionally. In the winter, I ski at least two days a week so that changes it a lot. Less running then. I try to get in more running in the spring and fall because the weather is perfect and it's nice to be outside. In the summer, I get in what I can with the kids being home, whether it means getting out early for a run, or getting it in when they're at their activities. This summer has been unusual because I've been subbing like crazy so that dictates my activity.

AS changing it up goes, it's good to change things up every 6-8 weeks, regardless of season but that's a good reminder to keep things fresh. Gearing your workouts towards the season helps change.

Interesting! I change my workouts every couple of months anyways and they aren't really geared towards the weather but more towards what I'm trying to accomplish at the time.

I'm doing really good right now. I have been

I've had to lay off running for a few months because of knee issues. I've spent so much time practicing for my 360 degree spin kick (actually just trying to learn how to do it) that my knees just can't take all the stress. Add the miserable heat in and I have no motivation to jog right now.

I've been planning out my next few months of workouts and {gulp} I've got running on my list again. ;)

That's really cool--when do you test? Can you do break with the turn consistently? I'm also impressed with the people who can hold the boards still while someone is trying that!

I hear you on the knees and running. I feel the same thing, along with my ankle recently.

I tested this past Saturday and I got my break. lol My holder jumped back twice and dropped the board so they had to get me another one for me to finally hit it.

I'm not totally consistent with breaking but I can at least hit my target each time I spin now.

Omgosh-how did you break your foot? I had a stress fracture in my foot years ago from lunges (I feel over-yada yada) and I thought it would never heal. Ugg!

Ew! You poor thing. Btw, how does your mom like Tai Chi? My mother is taking classes and loves it.
