Have you guys seen this new piece of equipment? It's like a cross between a step and a bosu...

I think I like the idea. It has most of the good aspects of a bosu without a lot of the downsides.

Yeah, I like it too. It addresses some of the concerns I've been having about the BOSU lately. If it's not cost prohibitive, I would buy one. Except I want it now and not in fall 2011. :D

I saw it in the paper. I've seen things like it, a BOSU with tubes attached and seen a flatten BOSU, but this combines the two. I actually like the instability of the BOSU, as long as you're careful and work up to it. Part of it is I think we need to learn to move in odd ways because that's what life throws at you. We don't walk on level surfaces all the time, at least I don't, and when I trail hike, I'm on uneven boulders (or ice moguls, the case this past winter) and all that can easily turn my ankle. Using the BOSU can help with learning balance and movement on unflat surfaces. Lose your balance? Learn to find it again. But, I also think it's only for a certain demographic, not for the beginning exerciser or the unbalanced. It's a more advanced piece of equipment, if you're going to be standing on it and doing moves on top of it.

I used to put the BOSU over tubes to simulate that, and lift. You can hit the whole body. But, I've been told that wears out the tubes too quickly so I stopped. I'll never talk my gym into getting the step360.
