Monday already? Blah. Its going to be a rainy gray day here. Icky. Regular work day, still have to finish some laundry. Kristen has her first paying job today. Eeek. She is going to be babysitting some kids on our street. They are in Grade 3 and 5 though so not too difficult and she knows them well, so I guess just hanging out and playing all day really. I have to get her up at 8:00 she said even though she doesn't have to be there until 9:30. LOL She needs time to wake up. So I'll call her as I'm leaving for work. We'll see how it goes.
OMG - I have no kids this week! They are both at sleepaway camp. I literally don't know what to do with myself. Part of me has a list of things a million miles long that I'd like to get done while they're gone. The other part of me would like to sit back and enjoy the only week all year that I don't have to respond to "Mommy!!!", play referee, and chauffeur kids all over. Hoping I'll find a happy medium...
I'm providing childcare at church this morning and after that, the week is ALL mine!!
Happy Monday... So far today I have gone to exercise class, worked out, and gone to the grocery store, came home & made lunch for the boys & I... Mitch has middle school soccer try-outs starting today at 5:00. I think I am going to throw some pork ribs in the crock pot to have dinner ready when he gets back from try-outs at 7. It looks like it might rain, and the boys are just watching Olympics on TV now. I need to start doing lots of laundry and getting organized; we leave for the beach on Sunday!
I thought at your puppy's age it was all about making sure you get her outside before she knows she has to go, then giving her tons of encouragement when she does go.
Is there a halfway sheltered area you can take her to in the rain? If she were here, I'd suggest under the apple tree or underneath the deck. Can you hang a tarp some- place for cover?
It was summer when my brother moved to Arizona, and was it hot. The mercury got up into the triple digits and the fully grown poodle refused to set foot outside. He piddled in the house for the first time since puppyhood.

Good morning, stopping in real quick.

"Rainy Days & Mondays" always get me down...especially when I have to spend them house-training a 2-month-old puppy!

It's story time again.
