Well, another day. We ended up with a squirrel in the basement yesterday. Kristen phoned me freaking out. I got home and he'd move to the main floor. Scared the crap out of me when I saw his head sticking out from the end table. I THINK I got him outside. I opened the patio door and was chasing him but he ran back behind the couch and when I was trying to get him out I think he ran outside but I didn't see it so I'm not 100% sure, but the cats aren't acting like he's there, but they weren't before he popped up either. Stupid things. So the landlord is coming with traps and it looks like he came in the dryer pipe as the screen is off the vent. Not 100% certain but don't know how else he could have gotten in. So that's my excitement. I want them to leave a trap anyway just in case. Normal work day, have to pick up a few things at the store after work, finish some laundry but nothing too much today.
This morning started out on a bad foot so, I am hoping that the day will unwind better. Kind of glad to be at work I guess. Greg was throwing out attitude because I had him change his clothes. Boys are so funny sometimes, if I let him wear whatever he wanted he would probably go to school in mismatched pajamas! LOL! The part that is not funny about it is when I was speaking to him about his attitude (an ongoing issues these days) he was trying not to laugh at me. We are having some serious respect issues.
Grace's morning was fine, a little grumpy at first but by the time we got to Maw Maw's and Paw Paw's she was all smiles. I got 2 goodbye kisses so I left a happy mommy!
Lots to get done at work today, especially since I have to leave early to get Greg from school. So, I probably should stop procrastinating and get work after this! :)
Not much planned for the evening except for the usual homework, dinner and all that jazz. I am hoping to get Grace to bed maybe a little early so Greg and I can make a wonderful gluten free carob brownie recipe I found on the net! I like cooking with him and he actually likes helping me, so maybe we can do that and get to the bottom of this respect thing.
I hope everyone has a good day!
My son was misdiagnosed for 10 years. Have your children tested for food allergies before you accept a behavioral diagnosis.
Good morning! I'm trying to keep up with chit chats, I feel so out of touch, but I say that all the time then only get to it infrequently. It's been a busy week here, we do a "not back to school" week of fun, schools started here Monday so we do things all week while the crowds are low. We went bowling with about 20 kids Monday, then yesterday we were supposed to go to this great swimming hole, but it rained FAST and HARD Monday night and the runoff from that was disgusting, so we cancelled. Kids and I ended up just being bums most of the day, but that was OK too. Had friends over to swim, then ds went riding/roping.
Today we're hoping to head to a museum, go eat chinese food, then maybe the zoo, we'll just have to see how our day unfolds. I've been frantically getting things ready for our back to school next week, I have 2 new programs to learn and lots of printing/copying to do, schedules to finalize, etc, etc. It's been a busy week, but I feel *almost* prepared. Need to learn our new Spanish program and then I think I'm mostly ready.
Just had a lovely run, popping into the shower now, have a great day all.
Happy Wednesday anyone. These last days of summer vacation are just ticking away.
