Okay, if you need clever titles, then someone else has to come up with some because I'm drawing blanks every morning. Weirdest thing--I woke up last night to the smell of dirty laundry.

So much for that planned lunch. I went to the grocery store so picked up vegetable spring rolls and sushi rice in that brown tofu pocket.

AIIIE!

I just got the class schedule for March and I'm slotted to teach hi/lo. I have never taught hi/lo before and I've attended maybe 1 class in my entire exercising career, so if anyone has SUPER EASY choreography please share!

edit: I just emailed the group fitness coordinator to see if I can get out of doing it. In case I'm stuck...I need the choreography ASAP - first class is next saturday!

what are ponies?

It actually isn't even hi/lo. It's just called Basic Lo. I mean, I COULD do grapevines and step touches for 45 minutes if I had to but I'd rather have someone with more experience teach it.

Thank you for the sports conditioning moves. That's more up my alley. I don't know where the aerobics coordinator got the idea that I know how to teach anything with choreography. Probably because I have the Can-Fit-Pro fitness instructor certification. But I didn't actually take the course. I took another certification body's course and did step for the exam. It was something like 20 minutes of basic and turn step. :P So the last time I actually did anything resembling hi/low was 7 years ago when I first started going to the gym.

There is a website called www.turnstep.com that has choreography on there, check it out for some hi/lo.

Basic Lo seems like it should be good for beginners. Our gym needs that!

Here's the pony:

Leave the stupid looking upper body part out (I've never seen that before), just get the feet.

For simple, I'd keep it more like that sports conditioning basic moves.

One thing I'd do, to give yourself a mental break, is to throw in intervals in between the blocks.

lissa - we definitely suggest that people new to group fitness try out basic lo and usually it's very experienced instructors who teach it. If it was me, it would be like the blind leading the blind.

Jean - I got an email from the coordinator this morning saying she'll try to get someone to cover the classes. Looking at the schedule I can easily just trade with one lady who has the class before mine, but she is out of town this week. I already emailed this lady yesterday but then I remembered it will be a few days before she gets back to me.

dancin - I wouldn't care if the class was beginner (although having totally clueless people fumbling in my sculpting classes is a teeny bit annoying) except that, as I said to lissa, blind leading the blind. :P
