OK, I'm posting this tonight, because I might not get a chance to get on here early enough in the morning. I'm filling in for Nicole, so please excuse me if this isn't done quite right, LOL
What are your plans for today (Monday)? Are your kids off for the holiday? Come share what you're up to. . .
Good morning, and good job of filling in Sofia!
Had a great weekend here, my boys went fishing and hunting, so I had a lovely, clean, quiet weekend! Dd had a sleepover on Friday night so I actually had an empty house, then she and I did some shopping together on Saturday, watched some friends compete in a horse show, then on Sunday we lounged around and were total bums, it was nice. We watched My Fair Lady and made homemade pretzels together!
Today is back to school though. We don't take typical school holidays (like the president's day type things), we often take a random day off here and there so we won't be off today (and shhh, my kids don't even know it's a holiday today!!).
I'm getting ready to go for a run in a bit, it's windy but no so cold as it has been so hopefully it'll be OK. I've got starter going and will make sourdough today, have a patient this afternoon, other than that a typical school day here. Ds is way behind in his history so I need to get him caught up, he has his weekly meeting this afternoon to discuss the chapter and take the test. Nothing else really going on that I know of today.
Have a good day all.

Good morning Sofia and everyone!

Morning everyone.
We had a pretty good weekend.
Good morning!
DH is the only one working today, Jordyn is still in bed and Emma and I are up already. I need to get Jordyn up in a few minutes. We don't have a lot planned, some laundry, a few errands to run, I need to get the inspection on my car, and I need to call and set up a few doctor appointments. We are probably going to take Emma to the park later today, its supposed to be pretty nice outside.
Have a great day!

Not much going on here today. Kids are home. Evan is awake, Megan is not yet. She's the night owl. I think she's making up these days for all the sleep she wouldn't get as an infant. I want the kids to spend some time cleaning their rooms and both of them have a little schoolwork to do. Megan (3rd grade) actually has a lot - math facts to practice, 8 pages in a spelling/word study book (which was supposed to be done last week), and some reading to do for a book project. The kids also have a DVD they want to watch today.
Can I take a brief moment to vent (speaking of DVDs)? My grandfather gave dh and I $150 each as part of Christmas festivities and gifts. Dh spent his on a Blue Ray player yesterday. It was on sale and rated VERY highly by Consumer Reports so the particular player was a good choice and I can't really begrudge him the purchase because the money was given to him to do with as he pleased. However, I question his choice given that he's been earning $2000/month, the company hasn't reinstated the dental insurance yet, and he's not sure he'll have a job at all after March. I resent the fact that he's buying expensive stuff we don't need and I'm saving mine in a drawer to pay for medication or food if things get tight. He's not completely financially irresponsible but he has a hard time saying no to himself especially when there is a deal/sale involved. Of course if I say anything I'm not supportive and I don't believe in him (according to him). AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Thanks for letting me vent ladies!!!
Have a great day everyone!
My dh is the same way about spending money.
Brandi, no need to apologize--welcome to the club!
My DH does the same thing everyone else's does!
