Good morning! Sitting here enjoying a bit of a break in my day. Went for a run this morning, goodness it was glorious out there, a bit windy but perfect temp and sunny skies.

I gave the kids most of the day off to watch history in the making (the inauguration), I am not very good at sitting and watching,so I am simultaneously watching TV, cooking a whole chicken (my most hated cooking task) with a plan to make white chicken chili later in the week and a ton of broth later today; I'm also making (cooked and sealed/jarred) homemade salsa, which is a huge task too. I figured if I am going to have a day in front of the TV I may as well get a few big tasks done too!

Hoping to go to another yoga class later this evening, other than that a pretty quiet day, hoping to stay home for the most part.

Kids did well this morning, I told them they could skip math if they'd hurry and do all their daily stuff (language, history, etc), they both got up and got working and are now watching the inauguration (well, ds escaped and is reading in his room, but he'll be back soon, he's not big on watching TV either). It's pretty cool actually, dd's history lesson yesterday coincided perfectly with actual history, she learned about the first presidential inauguration just yesterday, and she's been studying the formation of the constitution, etc, so our timing is perfect, wish I could say I planned it, but nope, just luck.

Have a great day all.

When is Jordyn's play?I think you said she was a dancer?Gabby has play practice at least twice a week.I wish it were after school. However it is usually 6-9.She also has a 3 hr practice on Saturdays at the directors dance studio.I don't mind that becasue it is close to my house.
