Light wood long skinny table with two wooden bar-height chairs, Pergo light wood flooring, butcher block like counter tops, white cabinets with wooden handles, white appliances, and tan and cream marbled wallpaper with a black faux stone diamond border. A little late '90s but it looks nice and will have to do until the financial situation changes.
2) If Ty Pennington could come and re-do any room in your house, which would you choose?
I would probably choose our upstairs bathroom. It's the only room we haven't redone in the 15 years we've lived in the house and it's U-G-L-Y. Tiny pink (like Pepto-Bismol) tile which is covered by a cut to fit VERY pale pink piece of carpet, large white tile in the tub and a pale pink tub. the cabinets/drawers are a peachy pink and the counter tops are a pink and white pale fake marble. Oh, and a pink toilet. BLECK!!!! I want someone to come in and turn it into a small spa so I can truly take a relaxing, enjoyable bath.
3) How is your teen/tweens room decorated? Kind of a beach/surf theme. Evan's room has dark sky blue walls with white trim (baseboards, closets, etc.). He pretty much painted it himself one summer at age 10. The accent color is red and his quilt is a beach/surfer kind of pattern from Pottery Barn Kids. Very fitting with the swimming he does. He has several LARGE (12 - 14 inches in diameter) stick-on/peel off striped (same blue as walls, dark red, gold, and yellow) circles on the wall too. We got them at Loews for about $12 a year or so ago. His room is REALLY small so we took most of one wall and put up some floor to ceiling Elfa shelving with the lowest shelf being a little deeper and acting as a desk. At one end is an Elfa cart with three drawers holding it up (instead of legs). Carpeting is beige and his bed and dresser are light wood. The bed has storage cubbies in the headboard and footboard as well as a large sliding drawer underneath. The one thing I still want to do is put up a poster of him swimming. We have a GREAT picture of him doing breaststroke that we've blown up. Just need to get it framed. The size it too odd to but a frame from Michaels or some place like that. The picture is FABULOUS! It's a close up of his face and chest up out of the water wearing his goggles and drops of water splashing around him. It looks like the cover of a magazine! It's going to cost about $100 to get it framed and I just can't spend the money right now. For now, the picture is rolled up in a heavy cardboard tube in his closet.
Tell Jordyn her room looks awesome!!! That's exactly what we tried to do in Megan's room (different colors but loft with desk underneath) but it didn't work out nearly as well.
) Describe your kitchen decor. yucky. We moved here last Sept. and everything was blue. ugh. So the walls are blue, the counters are blask and the cupboards are white.
2) If Ty Pennington could come and re-do any room in your house, which would you choose? I would choose not to have him here- he's annoying. LOL If a normal person wanted to redo a room, I would pick kitchen.
3) How is your teen/tweens room decorated? It doesn't have a theme.
