Hello there Jacqui,
Blue Plan maintain here
Walked outside today not too long
You're right, Wren. Soemtimes you need to let up just a bit and treat yourself. So many people feel "deprived" that they go overboard in the other direction. You're making a conscious decision of what you enjoy, you plan it into your menu, and you enjoy it thoroughly when you have it. I thnk we can all learn from how you are handling this maintenance plan.
Nothing new for me. I've tried the later lunch and it seems to be working well. And both yesterdy and today for dinner I've had just a Slim Down and salad. I weigh in tomorrow. According to the home scale nothing has changed, but we'll see!
I have a new stove and I love mine. Of course my old one was in such terrible shape I couldn't cook a thing. And now I finally have a gas stove top. I'm not a fan of the electric top. But my next oven (always thinking ahead!) is going to be a gas top and an electric oven. Electric ovens keep the temperature more even, but I like the immediate heat control of the gas top. Maybe Santa will buy you a new one for Christmas?
So what did you bake? I think your TV dinner sounds yummy! Now this was a homemade one, right?
Jacqui
Lucky you on the new stove

hey, wren. i also felt let down for a while after hitting maintenance. the la visits were uneventful. like "oh, yippee. you're in your 5 lb range. good for you. see you later." so i lost that whole thrill of confirmation and advice, kudos, encouragement, etc. that i was counting on during weight loss. plus, the fact that i later wanted to lose more (to hit that original goal weight), but only since new mgmt. has started have i actually had a better experience there. they are TERRIFIC now. and it is all due to the mgmt. so sadly, the quality of what they give us is *highly variable**
and in the end, it is up to us. as you have said, wren, WE are the ones who do the hard work. and WE are the ones who get to goal. la helps us along (sometimes better than others!!) but we are ultimately responsible for staying on track and hitting our goals.
have a great night, wren.

that chicken breast w/hot sauce sounds terrific. do you cook it in it, or just add after cooking? it is great to pound the boneless breasts then cook in skillet, douse/sprinkle w/hot sauce, then cook till done. works very nicely.
so where did you get the baby cone? i'm curious. i know mc'd's will sometimes do a kiddie cone.
even though you didn't eat normal today, wren. it looks like you did a great job. way to go!!

Hi Wren!
Sorry to hear about your car. Wow, what a day! Hope it doesn't cost too much to get it fixed. That's the last thing anyone needs this time of year.
I have a Maytag stove, and I like it. But like I said, next time.... Hubby wants to strangle me sometimes because we just bought this house a year ago and spent the next 3 months doing major renovations totally too much money to even mention, and I'm already planning the next house in my mind.
So what's your plan for the weekend? I have a Homemade Gourment party this afternoon. I'm a little stressed about it, because I'll be around all sorts of unhealthy foods. It's not so much the temptation, but the "peer pressure" to eat, eat! And seeing the party is all about the food, it's hard to change the subject to something else.
Happy Day!
Jacqui
Mel, BOY
oh, wow, wren. i am sorry they are taking that stance at your center. and sorry that the lawl program is taking this turn for the worse. so far, my center has not said anything to me about it. but i am concerned because i had planned on lawl being my weight-loss solution *after* the next baby. if they require me to do lites, i'll be in trouble. maybe after the next baby, i can get a note from my doctor or something saying i can't eat soy or dairy products (that ought to cut out nearly all their products!) due to breastfeeding. i am already thinking of ways to get out of this problem, if they try to force it on me. what i don't understand is how they can force out someone who has a contract from *before* this new policy.
again, sorry you are upset. you have every reason to be, though. go get some fresh air & exercise. that'll clear your mind and relieve some of this frustration, hopefully.
i personally heading downstairs just now to work out. need to get in some extra calorie burn before a party tonight.
