Hey Wren, even in the south with no snow, I have become more cautious of driving. On our expressways they have these very high cross overs, hate them. I will only use them if I have tested out the way with someone else driving so I know exactly what lane I need to be in. They drive like maniacs on these roads when the speed limit is 70 they do 80 and 90. If I know the backroads to somewhere, you will find me on the. I hate driving in the mountains. Hate heights. I drove up and back to PA once in a car up on the narrow roads and back in a 22 ft U-Haul. I refused to come back the way we went up. So we went across to Wasingington and then down I-10. There was a turnpike and it was cut through the mountains more in tunnels, 4 lanes and much, much better. I was asking everyone up there with my friend, she was moving back after a divorce and I didn't want her to do it alone, how do I get back a different way that is not so hilly. FINALLY person suggested the turnpike. I had never driven a 22 ft truck and there was no way I was going to learn on that road we came up on. LOL We have road ragers too. You go to slow and they are shooting you birds and riding your bumper. I have a very good sense of direction and I have lived here all my life and I know most short cuts and back roads. Thank the Lord.

Just call me Jo the more chicken that a rooster (like Wren, I love that)LOL

All my new friends who live in the snow. Please be sure you have an emergency kit in your car with blankets, flashlight and those warmers you can snap and put in your pocket, flares, food, water and what ever else they tell you to have up there. If that couple who lost the Dad had more food and water he would not have had to go out to get help and he would not have died. I have emergency things for the south. I have one of those tools that breaks your window but no food and water. I need to be more deligent if I go for long trips. Here I am only a cell phone call away but still keep some things in there. I usually go on the Interstate when traveling but not always and on I 10 there are rest stops every few miles with security guards. But you can't trust people to help like you used to. That is sad. You can't even trust the police on lonely dark roads. If I ever get pulled out in the boonies I will not stop. I will signal to follow me and keep driving and I will also call 911 if my phone is working so I can besure who is behind me is legit. Worried Wanda here, mistrusting Martha, cautious Connie. LOL

Yup, the crab is pink it is cooked. I just looked at the add today and the snow crabs are on sell for 6.98 a pound I think. I am out of them so I'll get a bag. Oh I know the lobsta (as they say in Maine) not lobster, is sooooo expensive and I love it. They are having a special at Red Lobster this month or period of time. I am going to go again went the other day, weighed everything out and put the biscuits in the freezer, at a piece about the size of my thumb and counted it as 1/2 bread. That time I had the tails. I am going to get the stuffed one next time and count the stuffing as how many breads I think it is worth when I see it. I will tell them to hold the biscuits this time, they gave us a bunch. I can eat lobsta without butter too, I put a little lemon juice on almost all seafood. Have you tried that and of course garlic if I am cooking it.
