Wren, I got a flip on the board to a message number 2709.7 and maybe another number not sure a couple of times. I did't say something wrong and get a message deleted did I. If I did I am sorry, I can't think of what it could be. Maybe it is another message deleted and when I was scanning it sent me there when I hit next post. Just checking I am new and this has never happened to me before.

Morning Wren!
It was terrible last night.
yes, tea. i maintained from july to late october. so, yes, i have really maintained, just for your information.
then i got up more than 5 lbs over goal 152ish during maintenance phase, but my goal was 145. that means that you have to do something to get back to goal, if you know what i mean. so i followed the advice of the maintenance guide and went back to the weight loss phase choices/portions till i lost the weight. while i was at it, i thought i'd go for the gold and try to hit my dream goal weight of 135. so i went for it. and guess what? i hit it! yep. following la's guidelines to go back to weight loss choices when you get up too high on the scale. this is all *part of the maintenance lifestyle*. sometimes you get outta range, and you get back to work and limit yourself.
and the guide doesn't even require that you go back thru stabilization, but marg and i both chose to do that instead of just leaping back into our full choices/portions that we had in maintenance. marg too gained a little more than she liked during maintenance, and chose to reign it back in. so the maintenance guide would allow us to just go straight back to the full range of choices in maintenance after losing our excess pounds from maintenance, but *we* chose to be safe and instead gradually adding them back in. just like we did in stabilization. so i really don't see what your point is. because yes, i have really maintained. when you gain, then losing is a necessary part of maintaining!
really not trying to upset you, but i don't see why you have a difficult time understanding that losing is a part of the dance of maintenance. IF the pounds come back, you gotta get them off!! otherwise, you are just getting overweight again. and none of us want that.
also, tea you should notice wren's menus. she makes very careful choices-- mostly choosing from foods/portions on the weight loss phase. that is how she has been able to maintain so well and even lose a little here and there. i think you will see the wisdom of this as you get into maintenance, too.
best to you in your loss. weren't you about at goal last time you posted? how's it coming along?
