thanks, wren. i enjoy this healthy living -- exercising and eating right. so much better than before la when i ate junk and was inconsistent on exercise.

i'm glad fall is coming, just wish the temps could come back down to normal here in tennessee. highs are in the 80s now when they're typically in the 70s this time of year. oh, well . . . i'll still be out there in my sneakers going for walks. ;-) i have to get that time outdoors -- away from the computer, away from everything . . . it's my "me time."

Mornign Wren

Wonderful DH is starting to eat more of "your type" of foods.

see, slow change will work every time.

Anything he does cut back on will help him ALOT and if you continue to work on him easily, he will make those changes and stick with it....that is great!

Cleaning the SUV today.....vacuum, clean all the windows and dash, scrubbed and washed the floor mats, etc.

hey, wren. i'm 34.

from my childhood, i *loved* junk food -- doritoes, french fries, cheez whiz. yep, all those heavy hitters with absolutely no nutritional value. i was able to eat that crap and stay thin till i was in my mid 20s without any hard work. then it finally caught up with me and i started gaining. luckily, that's around the time i developed a passion for exercise, so that helped me control my weight. but i continued to eat a lot of junk food. i knew it was unhealthy, but i kind of reveled in being able to eat all the junk i wanted yet still stay relatively thin -- shame on me!

so i'm grateful for finding lawl at just the right time -- when my weight got out of control. i finally started eating nutritious food and opting out of the junk. this is now about so much more than just staying thin -- it's about living a healthy life and being a good example for my family. i am proud to be setting a good example for my son by exercising regularly and eating nutritious meals! it's definitely making an impact on him.

hi, wren. looks like a great day for you yesterday. biking, walking, lifting weights. very active day -- as usual.

even dh is getting into walking -- that's great! and it's good time for you two spend together. i love the family walks dh, ds & i take after dinner some evenings.

so, some cheese in your salads? what kind did you try? my favorite for salads is aged parmesan -- shredded. the powdery stuff in the canister is okay, but i like the *real* stuff! ;-) a little goes a long way.
