Now a days it is normal procedure for schools to mail the transcripts to colleges, infact as long as I have known it to be that is how it is done so that you cant doctor the transcripts, just think how many dishonest kids would change their transcripts if they can get a hold of them. Did she ask if she could see them just to make sure they are correct before they mail them, maybe you could get the certified mail envelope and bring it to the school. Honestly I dont feel they are doing anything out of the ordinary.

Angela is right Wren....you are a leader and not a follower.

Take an envelope wtih your app etc. into the school...make them put her transcript in there and mail it certified just like you were going to do.

This "school" can not stand in her way, and they can not decide her fate.

hi, wren. i understand your concern about this. but like karen said, it is the normal procedure now. if you guys were to send them, the college might assume tampering . . . by having the school send directly to the college, it eliminates any suspicion of that kind of activity. i know you guys would of course not do anything like that, but many desperate students and parents would -- so colleges must protect themselves and ensure they get accurate information.

hope you're cooling down about this . . . so sorry for the continued frustration with the college process. but just think of the many, many great rewards your family will enjoy as dd follows her heart and studies what she's dreamed of studying . . . . makes all the hoops you've had to jump through pale in comparison, doesn't it? :-)

best, wren. to you & dd. and happy friday!
