i requested to come in 2x/week since i'm trying to hit 140. they said fine. i am welcome to come in every day, if i want! and my maintenance handbook recommends weighing in 2-3x a week whenever you go more than 5 lbs over your goal -- to get back on track.

sounds like your center is an odd one, indeed!

Wow, Wren! We are too much alike. When my mom passed away she left me everything (which wasn't much). But I decided to take care of myself with it as I had spent the past 5 years taking care of her and putting my own life (and health) on hold. My mom would be very proud of me too. I know she's rooting for me right now, if fact! :) And this is why I will not give up, and I will not give in. She was never a quitter, and she would never let me quit or wallow in self pitty. She was tough on herself and expected me to be tough on myself. I'm not nearly as strong as her, but if I can only be half as strong I'll be A-OK.

I need to chose my words very carefully on Friday when I have my meeting at the Center. I so want to tell them exactly how I feel, but like you I still have alot of time already paid for and I don't want to feel uncomfortable every time I walk in. So I will be honest, but polite and respectful. After all is said and done and I'm done with all my weeks that I've paid for, then I'll give them an ear full :)

It's terribly windy and rainy out. Makes for walking outside a chore! Maybe you should dust off that treadmill for the winter. I know how much you love the outdoors, but maybe if you just use it for days like today it won't be so bad.

Hope you have a great night!

Just dropping in to say hi! I have been busy and still need to catch up on reading, but I missed everyone. I am sure your Mom is smiling down at you right now! She would be very proud of you.

Wow Wren, I didn't realize your mom was passed. My mom passed in 1997 and just recently I am able to fit into one of her rings. It was the one she wore with her engagement ring sort of like a wrap ring. Anyway, my point is that gives me strenght. Seeing that ring, watching it get looser and tighter (when I have too much salt) I can't wait until one day, I can take it to the jeweler and have it sized. She would really have liked that.
My mom left me almost everything, I got all her jewelry and 1/3 of her life insurance but it wasn't that much after we paid off her debt. Oh well. I know she would be super proud of me for doing this for myself. And would not want me or my friends to be self destructive and feed our bodies garbage.
Moms are so special and I miss mine dearly, as I am sure you do as well.

I just wanted to share, I am sure your mom looks down on you and smiles, knowing you are healthy, happy and confident.
