Oh, one more thing... what did you have to eat at the fair? That's always been my main motivation for going and hubby and I were thinking about going tomorrow. I know I need to go in with a different mindset, but I'm sure I'll want something. The only thing I can think of off hand that I could eat is that roasted corn on a stick LOL!

That salmon in a pita sounds soooo good! I just love salmon!

And it sounds like your center finally gave you some good advice... Go a size smaller! WooHoo! You're being a terrific role model for your daughter leading by example of how to eat healthy, exercise, and lose weight, if necessary, the sensible way. BRAVO!

Hi Wren,

You have such a great outlook for going to such a crappy center. Very positive! How long did it take you to lose 60 lbs?? Wow that is incredible. When did you start dropping sizes? From a 20 to a 6 is just unbelieveable! I have lost 16 lbs and my jeans are just starting to get baggy... I had hoped to drop a size by now.

wren, you will succeed since you are figuring this out for yourself. it is a shame it has to be that way, though, 'cause the center should be there for you.

also, i think there are at least 2 different ways to do stabilization. marg had one schedule for adding in foods and i think yours sounds like that. mine was different. instead of staring week 1 with 1 added fat, my addition was "unlimited veggies." a second fat didn't come till further down the road. let me get out my documentation here.

the stabilization phase is detailed this way in the binder "free to live: la weightloss lifestyle guide"

additions for each week:
1 - unlimited vegetables
2 - 1 additional dairy
3 - 1 fat + 1/2 protein *only* for weight loss plans that had 2 protein servings
4 - 1 fruit
5 - 1 starch
6 - 1 fat

okay, that's how i followed stabilization. then i have an older booklet that details it differently. i'll find that and try to post later.

best,
mel
