sounds like you exercise good sense and moderation at the reunion, wren. we all need to celebrate with a little cake from time to time. and a handful of chips isn't going to take you off course either. personally, i say -> you sure know how to navigate potentially difficult food-occasions. well done! hope you enjoyed your time with family and showing off the "new you."

bet you got all kinds of compliments.

do you have lots of folks asking your weight loss secret? i'm curious if you share that you're on lawl. i personally have told no one but my hubby! i know i should probably sing the praises of lawl, but i am hesitant to share that. i just say that i watch my portions, exercise like crazy, and built in some accountability. :-) essentially, that's been my plan on lawl . . .

Thank you Wren! I really needed that after this weekend. Saturday was not a great day for me. But, today went a lot better! I even prepared my grilled chicken today for the week for lunches. I have to agree with you not to quit....even when it gets tough, or even when I mess up (like Saturday). I need to get back on track and keep truckin'! This is the first time in my life I have been wanting to get rid of this weight so badly that my dedication to this plan and exercising is the most I have ever done. Nobody is perfect and I need to remind myself that everyone is human and we can mess up at times. And, yes, I do not want to even leave any room to mess up because it make it that much more difficult to lose. But, thank you for the encouragement. I need it to start off my week!

Wren,

Congratulations! That is so exciting!

Too bad the center was not more excited for you. But you are and we all are so Have a Celebration!

Hope your sore throat goes away soon -- and try and get plenty of rest!

WooHoo For You!!! Great job, Wren! It's like a graduation, sort of like moving off to college. Then when you go into maintenance it's like the Real World. :)

I go the the Center in Clay. I wouldn't be surprised if we did go to the same place. So much of what you described seemed similar to what I've seen. Everyone's new, not very encouraging, etc. Unless it's just a NY thing. When I joined there she crossed out the 3 times a week part and changed it to 2 times. She said that was all that was required. Like I said, 2 times is perfect for me although I do have to travel close to 20 minutes one way to get there. That will not be so much fun in the winter.

Can't wait to hear about your stabilization journey! I'm so excited for you!!!

Wow, congrats Wren!!! Stabilization! That's exciting.

We'll all be excited and cheer for you. Sounds like the counselors at your center aren't that great. First they stall your weight loss, and then they don't get excited for you. Bah.

congrats!!!
