Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Jess,

You are doing great. Planning and weighing and measuring your food will bring you continued success --that and drinking your water.

I did the red plan no lites for the second part of my weight loss phase and really enjoyed the starch at every meal.

When you have a chance share some of your meals with us.

Thanks!!

I've definitely been weighing and measuring stuff (but I'm not so strict about measuring lettuce or cucumbers) and drinking my water, and then some!

I'm trying a new menu distribution today, because I'm finding that I'm still pretty starving immediately after lunch. I've found that I was eating more in the morning on LA WL than I was used to, and less at lunch, even though my menu really hasn't changed since pre-LA WL. (That is, I was already eating egg whites for breakfast and tuna and veggies for lunch. Just now, it's smaller servings of fruits for snacks.)

For the past week, I was having egg whites + lite bread + 1/2 banana + 1/2 a dairy's worth of yogurt for breakfast, then 6 oz tuna + whole wheat pita + some veggies for lunch. Today, I'm going to try my old breakfast of just egg whites (plus the lite bread) and then have that 1/2 dairy of yogurt with my lunch. See if that helps satiate me a little more. (And that breakfast banana becomes a fruit for "dessert" with dinner.)

I'm meeting a friend for coffee tonight, and I gotta rememeber to use skim instead of H+H. And I'm bringing a half a Powerbar to eat while she's munching on cheesecake. :)

Just a quick check in:

I had 3 egg whites and a slice of lite wheat bread for lunch. Then a 1/2 banana as a mid-AM snack. For lunch, it was the tuna and whole wheat pita and cucumbers....and the 4 oz of yogurt. I'll have to wait for it to really settle to see, but I think that helped me not be so darn hungry when I'm finished lunch.

Thanks Wren! I know you've been doing this a while, and successfully, so I appreciate your input.

I'll be switching things around for the next few workdays to see what works better for me. I'm doing the water before meals thing, and I do notice that the apple is more filling than the banana, but at my stores, the bananas are always better looking (and cheaper!) than the apples. But we'll see what they look like this weekend.

Thanks again!

Mmm, I love bananas and peanut butter.

Apples were on sale today, and lookin' good, so I loaded up on them and cantelope, instead of bananas. We'll see how that helps with the hunger.

I also bought some of that sprinkled fiber, since I've found it harder to "go" on this diet, despite all the whoe wheat and veggies.

I made the turkey burgers from the cookbook today, and they were SO good! And I made a head of roasted garlic to use as a spread or something later. I bought more spices to be able to make some new and different vinaigrettes.

I know it's not the same as being measured at the center, but, I measured most of me today. Down an inch on my hips, down several on my waist (I can't believe their original measurement, if it means I've lost 5 inches already??), and one down on my bust.

Another good workout today, though my favorite sports bra broke last week. My backup is from when I was larger, and it chafed my chest today, so now I have two large red welts. OUCH! I'll break out the OTHER backup and hope it doesn't hurt me tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well!

i had a great workout today. Had already done 30 minutes on the elliptical when i switched over to the treadmill in front of the TV that was showing the Tour de France. I find watching the Tour to be so inspirational and also distracting, so I'm able to do cardio so much more easily. Anyway, it was the last stage, the win, them coming into Paris and the Champs D'Lysee and all, so i stayed on the treadmill much longer than planned. Total 55 minutes. My body feels it now! About to go take a nice hot shower.

Eating lighter at lunch today so I can make room on plan for dinner at my parents' tonight. They're totally considerate of my diet, so it won't be a problem at all. I just want to make sure I have room to enjoy myself. Dinner will be beef, corn, and veggies, with fruit and yogurt for dessert (I'm bringing dessert).

Lunch was a salad with tomato and cucumber and chicken with ff dressing and some grapes with sf jello.

And water!!

Wow looks like you had a great work-out.

Enjoy your dinner with your parents --glad they are being supportive of your diet.

As far as increasing your fiber -- you can also try Fiber One cereal (very high fiber) --a half serving mixed into some yougort makes a good snack.
