Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Weigh in wasn't as horrifying as I expected, mostly because I was able to finally get a #2 out of me. Still up a pound.

They're going to email a sample daily menu of mine to the nutritionist to find out why I've been stalled for so long. *shrug*

That's that.

Hey Jess!

Hummm... I've love to throw some advice your way, but I'm not doing any better than you are.

Hi Jess,

Sounds like you are enjoying your workouts and heart training -- glad you are finding the Sparkpeople exercises helpful.

Hope your plateau breaks soon -- did they measure you again yet? maybe you are still losing inches?

Hey everyone.

All's fine. I'll find out Thursday about them emailing the dietician. I'm sure they'll tell me all kinds of BS "rules" about what I'm eating and when. Whatever.

Otherwise, I'm just eating and working out and working and dating and living life. :)

Hmm.

I'm down 2 lbs from yesterday. And I didn't have all my water, nor all my veggies, and I had an extra starch.

What I mean is, I went to the Justin Timberlake concert (I know, how awesome! except, I felt very old--a ripe old 31 year old in a sea of 20-y.o.'s!), and I got a roast beef sandwich with provolone. My other options were pizza (sure, a carb craver) or a hoagie. Or nachos. Or chips. So I went with a meaty sandwich, and it was very tasty. I avoided the beer. Got a big diet soda. But it meant missing out on veggies and because we were out and about, I missed out on some of my water.

But was down 2 lbs.

I'm wondering if it's also because I missed my Tuesday night workout, so my muscles were better able to recover from spinning Monday night, which means less water retention in my muscles, which means less water weight?

Or is it because we're doing that periodization training at the gym, and for the past week or so, I've been religiously keeping my heart rate in an endurance/fat-burning zone? (My bodyfat tester reveals only a TINY minimal loss in bodyfat.)

Or is it the strength training doing its magic on my metabolism?

I feel like I look leaner. My 12s are even getting a little loose. I think this week is measurements. At home, there's no change, but maybe at the center, I'll have lost some.

Anyway, through no fault of my own (ha!), I appear to be back at my low-low weight. If this trend continues, maybe I can get under 180 before my goal-date.

Hmm.

Hey Jess,

Just popping in to say hi. I haven't been on much lately, I just haven't had much to report. Still stuck at 195.... who the heck knows why....

Glad things are looking good for you!

hey, jess! so happy for you! whatever you're doing, just keep it up. my bet is that it's a combo of all those things you are doing -- the periodization, strength work, rest periods. whatever it is, sure hope this losing streak keeps up for you till you hit goal or a touch below (if you want!).

hoooraaayyy!!!

Thanks guys!

I'm sure it's a combination of the periodization training, the strength training, the eating a little more (shh, off the record), and NOT having my period. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing right now and see how that works for me. I have about three weight loss weeks left. Doubtful that I'll even come close to my initial goal I'd set back in July 2006, but even if I get myself into the 170's, I'll be happy.

That said, I saw an all-new low this morning. 183.2!

Of course, this is after I had a horribly painful bout of "the runs" last night. I had a handful of those Quaker soy crisp thingies--white cheddar--delicious! I'd had a handful the other night and was fine. I guess my handful yesterday was larger, because BOY was I in pain. There's that soy-allergy medical-ineligibility right there, folks!

Weigh in is tonight. I'm hoping to see 185 on their scale, but even 186 would be acceptable. I was 189.0 last week, I'm pretty sure, so anything would be great.

Fingers crossed.

Jess
