Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Ugh. Still got the bug. I was feeling a lot better last night, so I did dinner with my friends and even drank a little. (And did karaoke--yay!) But on the way home, I started feeling rotten again. Well, I was up ALL NIGHT, wishing I could throw up. Finally got my wish around 7am. Ugh. Still didn't feel that much better.
So, now I'm exhausted and farting around the house (literally!), and I cancelled the birthday dinner with my parents. I just don't want to eat my celebratory birthday dinner when I feel so rotten! Doesn't make any sense.
So, that's me. Oh, and even with the dehydration, I was up 0.8 this morning. HA! I'm sure it's what I DID end up eating yesterday. (It wasn't great.)
Jess

Get better and celebrate.
Jess,
So sorry to hear you are sick.
Hope you will be able to have that B-day celebration in a few days when you are feeling better.
Belated happy B-day to you.

happy birthday!
Thanks everyone. :)
I'm feeling mostly better. Still taking it easy on what I'm eating and how much, just so I don't upset my tummy too much, but overall, back to normal today.
I think I was already working my way through the plateau as it was, but getting sick helped. This morning, I saw 181.4! New all-time low! I'm hoping I can at least have that, or better, on Thursday for weigh in. It would be such a birthday gift to see 179.8 this week. (My birthday's actually tomorrow, BTW.) Maybe this weekend. Just gotta keep being very, very careful. Keep the momentum going.
I'm liking the Red1 plan for the extra starch and extra fruit and extra dairy. It suits what I was doing already, honestly. And then the advice to break it up into smaller meals, or at least just get more snacks in? Well, that's helped too. Now I am allowed enough food to feel like I'm able to get a full meal AND a decent snack. Phew. I'm finally not hungry.
We're starting a new phase at the gym for periodization training. Now we're doing strength training, so we're supposed to be working at 80-85% of our max HR. Last night's spin class was a killer--I was SO sweaty and my butt was way sore when we were done. I'm supposed to keep that heart rate when I do my own cardio, which means much more running. (I'd had to stop running after about 15 minutes the past two weeks b/c my heart rate would get too high for the endurance phase of the periodization training. I've been doing a lot of hill walking instead.) Yay!
Anyway, off to work.

Yeah you broke the cycle----170s are so close.....HOORAY!
more food helped you....that is great....for the exercise you do...whew...you need food!!!!!
hey, jess! glad you're doing better.
red 1 plan sounds terrific. you probably should've been on that plan a long time ago with all the exercise you do. so glad you've made the switch!
i am soooo jealous of that periodization training, jess. making me want to join a gym again, just for the guidance on things like that. you will be seeing some big time results from that hard, hard work. way to go, girl! feels good to sweat and work hard, doesn't it?
