Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

*grin*

Thanks!

Great workout today...I'm trying desperately to get my heart rate into that strength training zone for the periodization training, and it's impossible. I have to really work hard, harder, and hardest for about 30 minutes before my HR finally gets up where it needs to be, and then i gotta sustain that for as long as possible. I did this on the Arc Trainer today--60 minutes with major--MAJOR--resistance and as fast as I could. Burned about 900 calories. I just hope I'm doing this right--I think I must be, if it's THAT hard to get my heart rate up, right?

Weight still at my all-time low, 180.6, which is great considering I went out for dinner last night and had a salad with full-fat ranch dressing and full-fat cheese. (Yep!) It was delicious, but my stomach hurt later. Either I'm not used to all that fat, or my stomach bug is still hanging around.

Tomorrow, the gym is closed, so I'm going for a quick run around the 'hood before making myself a decadent brunch that's as LA-friendly as possible. Egg whites, french toast, and maybe a slice of bacon as a treat!!

Hoping to break into 179's very soon. *fingers crossed*

I ended up not doing the run yesterday, because it was just too darn cold! I made a LAWL friendly french toast that didn't turn out well at all, so my decadent brunch ended up just being egg whites, bacon (real bacon!), and a piece of bread with PB and peach preserves (sugar free). The bacon was SUCH a treat. Then I did dinner at my parents' house for my birthday. My dad made me a really nice steak, and we had asparagus and artichokes and berries.

Looking forward to spinning tonight, and I'm also going to try the zone training button on the treadmill, instead of doing manual adjustments for heart rate.

Sushi for lunch today means water weight tomorrow, so I'm going to go nuts on water today/tonight.

181.6 this AM--that's up just one pound from my all-new-low, and I'm fine with that.

See ya!

Jess,

Sounds like a very healthy birthday celebration -- steak and asparagus yum.

For your french toast -- try light bread -- then just maybe 1/2 a regular recipe of skim milk and egg.

Thanks Shaye!

I can't remember what my morning weight was today. I think it was 182.2? I'm okay with that, since I had sushi yesterday (soy sauce! sodium!). I'll let that leech out today with tons of water. (Drank plenty yesterday, too.) Doing Thai for dinner tonight with a friend--the last of my birthday plans. Should be fine--I'm making sure I have plenty of room left to enjoy myself without going off plan. I wish I were still at 180.6, my new low, but 182 really isn't much higher than that, and weigh-in isn't until Thursday.

Great workout last night. I was really starting to hit my stride when I was running to warm up--I was jamming along at 6.6, and then 6.7, and then 6.8 and for the last few minutes, I was running at 6.9. And it was fine! I really had my stride and my breathing in a good place, but I had to cut it short to go to spinning. Spinning was incredible, too. But I admit that I miss that endurance phase of the periodization process. I think it was helping my fat-burn/weight loss a little better.

Sorry, Jac, but I got in another good run tonight. *sheepish grin*

Hit my stride pretty well til the last 5 minutes, which were a struggle, but i kept pace at 6.6 for the whole 35 minutes. Yahoo! My heart rate only started climbing into a max-HR range towards the very end, too.

Next phase of periodization is intervals. I'm looking forward to that, too. But really, I like endurance!

Had a good dinner at the Thai place. Got the coconut soup (*tsk tsk*) and a dish with chicken and veggies and rice. Got a "why bother?" latte with my friend afterwards. It was good to see my friend--this is the one that got married a few months ago and now lives in England.

Anyway, off to watch (taped) Idol and hit the hay.

Another good workout. Did a 15 minute run on a slight incline--whew, what a difference that little bit makes. Then did spinning. We're still on a strength phase. It's tough!

Eating is totally on target today. This past weekend and earlier part of the week was hard--I was eating out a lot. I've got about 2.5 lbs of bloat going on. (Hope it's bloat!) I need to flush the water out tonight and keep my fingers crossed at weigh in. I don't think it'll be a good weigh in, but....whatever.

I'm about a week from my goal date, and about 13 pounds from my goal weight. I was toying with buying more weight loss weeks. But maybe not. I might just go with stabilization/maintenance and keep trying to lose from there, while on maintenance. I'm tired of this.

Anyway, happy to report that my size 12 work pants are loose, and they used to be a little snug in the waist/thigh. Hooray!

Feeling a little down today. I'm in some weird dating situations, and none of them is good. I've got a guy I really like who now lives halfway across the country, and a great guy that I have no chemistry for about 10 minutes away. This ain't good. No other prospects, it seems. I'm sad about it all.
