Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Jess,
How does one do stabilization if you are not done losing yet? I don't get it... I am getting near to my date too, and I won't be at goal either, so I don't know what to do. I guess I don't really get my contract either (I think it was mentioned in a post up above yesterday) - I thought weight loss continued until it was done, so to speak.
'splain it to me...please and thank you!

I'm not really sure. All I know is that they've offered it to me dozens of times, to stop when I'm done and go to stabilization from there. Like, change my goal to 180 instead of 170, I guess. I don't know. When I know more, I'll write about it here.
hooray! the size 12s are loose. that's awesome.
hope your spirits are up today. sorry to hear you were down. dating can be rough -- so you are brave to get out there and make connections. of course, there are going to be some duds out there, but you can't stop trying . . .

Thanks Mel. It sure ain't easy sometimes. (And sometimes, I just don't care!) But I will keep pluggin' away at it.
So, like I expected, weigh in wasn't great. Gained 1.8 lbs this week. HA! I'm not upset though, because my perspective about it was, "hey, I weighed 184.8! That's awesome! A year ago, I weighed 255!" Had a new counselor today, and she was very cool. I wish the cool ones would actually stick around longer than a week. Anyway, I technically have two weeks of paid weight loss left, even though my goal date is 4/17, so I'll do what I can do in those two weeks and then I'm calling it a day. Move into stabilization. I'm done! DONE! Can't take anymore.
I had a little piece of my niece's Easter candy last night--Skittles, which I haven't had in 10 months. (It's one of three favorite foods I listed when I joined LAWL.) They were GOOD.
Oh, and I think my gain is mostly water from eating out a bunch this week, and from all my strength building workouts. Sunday starts the new part of periodization training--intervals. Hopefully that'll incite some fat loss again.
See ya.
Jess
WOW Jess two weeks and move into stabilization.
Jess,
I'm so proud of you!
Yay, thanks!
I posted last night in another thread about shopping for some clothes. I earmarked a certain tankini set from Lands End, and I wanted to try it on at Sears to see if it'd work for me. The good news is that the size 12 I thought I needed fit just great--I even tried on a size 10 bottom and it was fine! (I'd buy the 12, though, I think.) The halter top was certainly not enough for my bazoongas, though. :) So, I'm going to go to the bra shoppe where I splurged a few months ago and see if she's got a cute suit for me with a real bra built in. (I need it!) But, yay! Then I tried on a size L dress at Macy's, and it was SO PRETTY on me. Floor length silk, cute print, and it was fitted but skimmed my curves. Just gorgeous. Can't wait til it goes on sale. Then I bought a size M belt at Express, where their highest size is a small 12. HA! Yay!
However, to take my ego down a notch, I'm at 184.0 this AM, which is a significant gain from my lowest weight last week. HOWEVER, I think the reason my weight was so low last week was more b/c of that stomach flu and diarrhea than anything else. For once, I had regular bowel movements. I'm back to being blocked up. *shrug* 184 is still a really good morning weight for my height and my physique, so I'm happy.
Great workout this morning. I was feeling a little "ugh" about working out, but 5 minutes into my run, I got into it and then hit my stride. I ran 30 min at 6.6, then did some hills at 4.3, then more running at 7.0 and then more hill walking at 4.3., then more running at 7.3. I did a total of 6.5 miles in the hour, which is a new distance record for me for an hour. And it felt great!
So, I'm eating relatively cleanly today, and I'm gonna flush with tons of water, keep my body burnin' today. See something less than 184 tomorrow!
Happy Saturday, friends.
Jess
sounds like a fun shopping trip, jess. how cool that the 10s fit nicely. does a lot for the ego, huh?
the new phase of your periodization training sounds terrific. that'll definitely your metabolism up a notch and you'll be seeing that scale slide back down.
so, it's two weeks and counting -- till stabilization, right? sooo exciting. you've worked so hard to get where you're at, jess.

I'm weighing in a day early this week, as they're having their open house and I want to put my raffle tickets in to win something. I kinda wish I could wait a day, though, and see what more I can do this week. I started off the week with a HUGE gain--water and backed up BMs. I've sloughed off a good 5+ lbs already, but I wonder if I could get back down to 180+ by tomorrow, the way I'm going? Oh well, even if I do, I'm still in better shape than I was Monday. (Oh, my mood was terrible. Imagine seeing 186.8 after you'd been in 180.6-ish range for a while!) (Monday=186.8, Tuesday=185.0, Today=182.4)
SO. One more week of weight loss, then stabilization. Can't wait.
