Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

hey, jess. great plan you have for some results by 12/20. sorry your heel's getting in the way of the usual hard cardio, but you've got good alternatives lined up and a rigorous plan for switching up your meals, so you should get to 180 on schedule.
hope you had a great time yesterday. all went well for me and mine . . . extremely stir crazy today, though. the relaxing thing is getting old. and i'd like to be back on my home turf. missing home already, but i'd planned to stay at my folks till sat. or sun. not sure i can make it. plus, hubby stayed home to take care of our dog and get some homework done. and i'm missing him something awful . . . :-( sorry to ramble in your journal.
later!

Jess,
Sounds like a good plan -- cutting out the sweets for a short time should be tolerable. Sorry that your heel is limiting your activities.
Have a great weekend -- hard to believe it is Saturday already and the wknd is almost over(my DH has been home since Wednesday -- 5 day Thanksgiving Holiday).
Good Luck! with you new plan.
MARG
Thanks for the support and encouragement, Mel and Marg.

Hi Jess,
Glad your scale was down a bit this morning.
Do you have access to a pool --even though it is a pain to have to change swim and then shower maybe the cardio workout will still make you feel better -- and walking even at a slower pace is still good especially if you can get out even for 15 min at your lunch break (these short days sure do not help with mood -- I am finding I have to get my longer walk in earlier and early in the day so it is still sunny).
That is great you have reined in your eating habits and are back on track.
The extra weight will come off -- it may come off slower -- but it will come off -- it has taken me about 3 months to lose 5 pounds. I think a little weight gain is just part of the maintenance process -- Even the woman in the pasta queen blog has re-gained some.
Here is another website for weight loss maintenance:

Jess,
Hope you are feeling more positive about things today -- and just remind yourself how FAR you have come with your weight loss.
You have the tools and knowledge to get to a weight you will be happy with -- don't let this set-back de-rail you -- also can you do strength training for your arms and chest -- push ups, biceps triceps etc?
Have a great day, and remember to SMILE!

MARG
