Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Yeah, Taco Bell has to be a TREAT. I didn't like it repeating on me all night long, and really, it was good but it was SO SALTY!!! (but so good.)

Whew, I made it to lunch and back in the icy monsoon, then I went swimming after work, and then my best friend and I did shopping together all evening and made it back in one piece. And I'm officially finished shopping! I'm waiting for one present to arrive by mail so I can wrap it, and I have to read my SIL's magazine before I wrap it (haha) (gave her a subscription), but I'm done.

WOO!

I hadn't had a banana in two days and I was still full from my lunch (crab cake sammich and sweet potato fries!), so I didn't do sprint sets and my feet cramped way too soon into my workout, so I only did 45 minutes. But I DID use the kickboard for a while, which definitely gave me good cardio. I was gasping for breath and could really feel it in my hip flexors, which is great.

I'm a technical editor for a company that publishes standards for all kinds of industry. So, I read boring technical junk all day long. I love my job!

RE: Fish oils, just take what the bottle says. i betcha it's two!

Have a great night!

Wishing you all a happy holiday!!!

I'm fighting a cold, trying to keep it as just a cold, and not let it become an upper respiratory infection. Trying. I feel crappy, though. This happens every Christmas! The only upside is that it halfway ruins my appetite. And it got me out of going out last night, where all I'd do is eat chips and salsa and drink. So that's good. It also makes me too tired to work out properly, which sucks.

Oh well!

I haven't stepped on the scale since Saturday. Saturday was 188.2, and then I had two parties and have been bloated ever since. I went out to dinner Sunday and Monday. But otherwise, my appetite has been blocked, so it's been okay. The bloat is coming down. I'm not weighing in til Jan 1., and then I'm sure I'll have some explicit goals to share with you all.

Just as long as my pants still fit...

So, merry christmas, happy hannukah, merry kwanzaa! Whatever it is, have a great one!

G'morning and Merry Christmas!

I forgot to mention that I got clearance from the doctor to start running again! I was actually 100% correct in what *I* saw in my own MRI, that there's no tendonitis (though I still have pain?) and no obvious tears, but there's one area where they MAY be a longitudinal tear. Either way, he complimented me on how well I healed on my own and how well I've been resting, and cleared me to start small with running again. YAY!

Of course, I have a cold right now that just moved to my chest, so no running just yet. But I CAN now. That's so happy.

My Christmas present to myself was a "proper" breakfast. I made turkey bacon, egg whites, and french toast with egg whites and challah bread. SO good. I took a pic! Oh, and I bought OJ b/c I have the cold, which worked out perfectly with the breakfast! Yes, way too much carb there, but it's Christmas! I won't eat again til dinner tonight, which is turkey and such.

Off to cough on the couch for a bit!

That looks like a mighty good breakfast... good for you for being so in control.

I think I have eaten enough starches today to last me the rest of this year and 2 months of next lol

Merry christmas, Mindi!

Isn't it kinda COOL that eating junk makes you feel rotten? it's a good lesson to (try to) remember. I mean, sometimes, you have to indulge, but too much usually makes us feel worse. Like, a temporary YUM turns into hours of discomfort (or days of trying to burn off the extra calories!). Believe me, I am as guilty as anyone of having those indulgences. I'm kinda saying this out loud to remind MYSELF!

Aaaanyway, the breakfast was good. It's my favorite meal of the day, and having french toast AND bacon was such a treat. And I ate enough to feel satisfied and as though I indulged, but not so much that I felt gross.

And I was good at my brother's house later--I avoided alcohol and when my SIL pulled out snacks during the movie, I ignored them. Didn't have even one bite. I was proud of myself. And the scale showed me being down almost 2 lbs, too. Woo!

I need more veggies in my life, so today I'm going to try to cram 'em in. I haven't had a great bathroom moment in a week, and I NEED it. I feel so bloated! I've had minor experiences that just don't cut it!

My new scale from my parents is CRAZY. And it's weighing me at 2 lbs higher than my old scale, AND it's reading me at 10% body fat MORE than my other body fat tester. WHOA. As in, it's reading my bodyfat% as being the same as it was when I was 300 lbs. Nope. That's wrong. My water composition % is low, too, so I know I need mre water. And a bathroom moment! Anyway, I'm going to track on both scales, but I won't take the bodyfat % as gospel truth--I'll just make sure the number, whatever it is, goes DOWN.

Thanks!

I ran just a little bit this morning. The cold definitely made it down into my chest, but I felt good enough to work out a bit this AM. I ended my workout with a short run on the treadmill. It's been 2 months since I've run at ALL. It felt weird--I felt heavy and slow. But my heel felt good. My chest? Not so good, so I stopped at about 3/4 of a mile.

I have off today, yay! And I only work Monday and Tuesday next week. Most people will be out, so I'll have a good quiet two days to work. And I'm looking forward to the NYE/New Year's day, and beyond....beyond the NYE party, I don't have any plans that long weekend, so I can finally just relax. So many christmas plans, I'm POOPED!
