Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Jess,
Glad the scale is headed back down for you -- sure you will be back to your maintaining #'s in no time.
Hope you have another on-track eating day today. Glad your list of reasons to lose weight is helping you keep away from un-planned snacks.
MARG
How'd the laxatives go?? Those things scare me. I'm even a little scared to use Smooth Move tea sometimes, honestly. Anyway, I upped the amount of veggies I eat at night--broccoli and spinach--and I've upped the water I drink, and I've gotten into have TWO great moments per day this past week!! Amazing.
Hmm...maybe you just need to tell yourself, "just do it" and get on that treadmill!!! Put the gloves on and go, woman! It'll help your funk, it'll help your self-esteem, it'll help you feel like that flab ain't nothin'....get on it!!

The list is really working, Marg. I read it every morning when I'm eating breakfast. It's especially helpful at night when I'm making dinner. "Be good," i tell myself.
Already, I've dropped 6.2 lbs since 1/1. Granted, the scale was way up that morning b/c I'd been out eating and drinking late the night before. But still. I'm back to where I've been since Sept/Oct, and that feels good. On my NEW scale, which is 1+ lbs heavier than the other, I was 187.2 this morning. On my old scale, the one I used the past two years, I was 185.8. So, that's pretty cool.
I picked up an extra spin class tonight to compensate for losing most of my weekend workouts this weekend. I'm going to visit friends in Boston. We're planning to do a hot yoga class together on Saturday, but that's still not my usual 2-hour Saturday blast and Sunday cardio time. I'm hoping to run a little tomorrow AM, too. (Cuz we're planning to have some margaritas!)
I'm hoping to be pretty smart this weekend with my food choices. I'm finally getting back to a place where I feel like myself, where I don't look in the mirror and immediately get depressed. Clothes are fitting just a little better. That, plus my little notecard, is REALLY motivating. Pooping regularly is also helping me look better and feel better. Good!!! I'm visiting with girls who I think are pretty food conscious, so I'll be feeling pressure to not pig out. That's good!
Anyway, consider this my sign off for the weekend. Back at the end of the weekend!

Jess,
Have a FUN weekend.

Jess, it looks like your journal has gone to poop. Literally. haha.
I'm back & posting again...looking to lose about 20 lbs. I'm about 14 above goal. Are all of your injuries healed up now? Are you back to running? I signed up for another half marathon in May. I'm just building a base right now.
Glad the scale is moving down for you. What's this list i'm reading about? (Weight Loss Advantages? Hope you have a great weekend.
Hey karen! I can't help it, I like talking about poop!!
Nope, not entirely healed up yet. I got clearance to run, but I've only done 3/4 of a mile here and 1 whole mile there. There's still something wrong, so I need to go back. BLAH. I'm slowly beginning to see that maybe running just isn't going to be my thing. I'll do what I have to for my triathlons but otherwise, nah! I'll stick to the bike.
Glad you're back, though, but sorry you've got a ways to go for goal. You're in good company, though! So, post more!!! How's it going?

I'm back!
When I travel, I have problems in the potty. And that was true this time. So, looking forward to being back on my regular schedule and eating my regular foods! I need to poop!
Boston was awesome. Had such a great time. And I was right about my friends being food conscious, so I was mostly pretty good. Kinda. I'll just give a rundown of what we did and mostly what I ate.
Friday: ate light during the day b/c I knew we were drinking and getting mexican for dinner. egg whites, banana, and berries before I left Philly, a Clif bar in the Philly airport, and a Luna bar in the Manchester airport. Had a martini a few hours later and got totally drunk. HA! 1/3 in, too, I'm such a lightweight! We got mexican and had guacamole and a few small (very small) tapas items. One margarita. No dessert.
Saturday: up early to do hot yoga. had a spoonful of peanut butter (1 tbsp) and about 6 oz of OJ. Did 90 minutes of hot yoga. it was HOT and gross. Dont' need to do it again, but it WAS a great workout. I'm sore today! Walked all over Boston that day, too. Got a Reuben omelet (corned beef, sauerkraut, and swiss mixed in, with a side of 1000 island) AND sweet potato pancakes. Stopped for a Guinness a few hours later. Ate a few hours later at the other friend's house--her husband made us rice and lentils and veggie curry. We got cannolis for dessert--yummy. Had wine with dinner.
Sunday: up early to shovel snow and pack. Had a banana before shoveling. had brunch--I had Boursin omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach, with a side of fruit, half the hash browns, and half a bagel with cream cheese. Several hours later, had a cup of soup and a beer at the airport, then had veggies and a bowl of cereal (Special K-ish) for dinner.
Need more water tomorrow, need more veggies!
But I learned this weekend that Beano really DOES work for me with truly problematic foods--I just need to take 3 of them. And I'll still be a little gassy, but not in pain.
Anyway, great trip. I'm exhausted from the yoga, the shoveling, the walking, and the sleeping on a couch. Glad to be home!
Will respond to other journals tomorrow! G'night!
