Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Ooh, great question.
I just dug out my plan book from two years ago (!), and it says there's an extra starch, an extra fruit, and an extra dairy. So:
2.5 protein
4 vegetable
4 fruit
4 starches
2 dairy
1 fat
So you were right!
New Hope was FRIGID. We didn't do much walking around at all. Went to the art show and that was about it!

hey, jess. how's your week going so far? sorry you didn't get monday off - that kinda stinks. but oh, well. i'm *really* spoiled now 'cause we get mlk off anyway, then today was a snow day. yahoo! ;-)
got in most of most of my workout before the inauguration. am heading downstairs in a bit to finish up my cardio. going for an hour/day most days this week. i'm looking for some big calorie burn!

I'm jealous of all that extra workout time! :)
I had icy mornings yesterday and today, and I'm hoping tomorrow is a little more dry so I can take my normal back roads to work. I've been late for work lately (10 min max) and decided to get up earlier to get back on track, but that extra time I've been giving myself has been taken up with scraping and driving slow on less direct but more heavily traveled roads so I stay ON the road!
Anyway, just got back from my Tuesday Two (Pilates and Total Body Conditioning). Just wrapped up a lighter dinner and am watching Biggest Loser.
I learned over my weekend in Boston that I CAN eat beans and other taboo products if I have enough Beano ahead of time. So guess what? I've been experimenting with Beano + tofu. For those who don't know/remember, I have AWFUL consequences with many soy products, tofu being a big one. Which sucks b/c I LIKE tofu. I haven't eaten it in 5 years, knowing how badly my guts react. I've also avoided chick peas and lentils. Well, now I can eat it! I can eat tofu!!! If I eat a smaller amount and take Beano, no pain! YAY!!!!!!!!!! It's SO good for you, low calorie, high fiber, high in calcium, even. YAY!
Anyway, I've resigned myself to carrying the extra lbs on my belly and thighs til spring, when I'll be able to get out on some extra outdoor bike rides. I've also resigned myself to NOT running right now, not til I get to the doc about my heel/ankle. It's not good. Otherwise, I do three spin classes a week, two strength training classes, one Pilates class, and about three other hours of cardio on top of that.
189.2 today, BTW. I was 187.2 at the end of last week, 189.6 this Monday. Hoping to see 186 by THIS Friday.

Hope you get to the 186 you're looking for by week's end. I'm sure you can do it. I, too, have non-specific plans this weekend, so i'm hoping not to consume a lot of liquid calories. So, you have facebook? How do i find you? I'm on there too.

Hey, Jess! Here's to not having a weekend 'spike'. I'm hoping for the same. Darn MLK day last week! I had off on monday and it killed me. The four day weekend made the scale go WAY up. This weekend i have the kids tonight...so no beer...and tomorrow i'm going to run and try to take it easy at the bar. hehe.
i love your scale-nomics. I'm the same way. "Well, i'm 136 nude at 8am on my scale, which translates to 138 on the WW scale, clothed, at noon, after a light breakfast.' i think we all do that.
