Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Glad you had fun and that you don't have an increase on the scale to show for your fun.

hey, jess. that's great you're the same weight as before. you must've *really* been on the move. all that activity offset the crisps, drinks, fish & chips. ;-) yay!
hope things at work are settling down . . .
i'm prepping for a work trip myself. i head to seattle for four nights on wednesday. need to get my hair done, wrap up *lots* of loose ends at work, and get packed. i give a presentation on friday, but other than that, the schedule's up to me. i will go to some other conference sessions, but also just enjoy seattle some. :-)

Glad to be back on my regular routine. Ate most of the bad things I brought back from England, so no excuses. I definitely did a TON of walking while I was there, and I can really tell how well that offset the bad eating/drinking. This weekend, I was eating/drinking a little, and while I worked out at the gym, it wasn't the same activity. Interesting, huh? Maybe I should add in a brisk walk every day or something, on top of things.
I was going through my closet the other night. Embarrassed to note that the jeans I last wore two years ago, as I was still losing and at 190, were fitting. They used to be loose! And spring is coming, and my events are coming, so...time to stop the crap and get it done.
Oh, and I'm doing a running program through my physical therapy. It's really wussy to start, so I don't hurt myself more. however, I saw the doc on Friday, and he thinks I'm doing worse and probably a good candidate for surgery. I see him again in a month to see how my wussy running program goes. If I DO need surgery, I'm going to hold off til fall, so I can get my events in and enjoy my new bike for the summer!
Anyway, I have lots to take care of. Hope I'm back on everyone else's journal as well as my own sooner than later!

Okay, slowly getting back to my routine, as far as websites go. :) Work has been slammin'. I've had a few projects nagging me for a while, and I'm FINALLY getting them taken care of this week. Ugh!
I was bloated beyond recognition all week. Still am to a degree. Had an amazing bathroom moment earlier today--I swear I lost 2 inches in my waist/lower gut when I did. Ahhhhhh. I REALLY REALLY need to work on getting enough fiber on weekends. Since I keep saying that and keep failing, I need to try something new. Maybe fiber supplements, since I know I'm not getting my usual salads and fruits? I'll make a note.
187 today. Hoping for 186 tomorrow.
Back to a really wimpy running program, to see if my heel/ankle can take it. Ran 2 miles in 23 minutes last weekend, and in 20 minutes today. I alternate running and walking ever 0.1 or 0.2 miles, depending on how I'm feeling. After that today, I did spin. My body is aching! I have a LONG way to go to get to race condition. And I have a 10-mile run I might do in May. I have an olympic distance triathlon in June. Work, girl, work!
Did I mention I might need surgery on the heel? Shave down the bone, pull out the bursa, and leave room for my tendon to heal and be happy. We'll see. I have a month to try running before I go back to the doc. So far, I'd say it's not improving.
I want to lose 10 lbs before my 10 miler. My constant reminder is that my pants are tight. I want them to be embarrassingly loose again. That's the incentive....feeling yucky about tight pants, and feeling better about loose pants.
Okay, back hurting, gotta run!

Jess,
Hope you are having a great weekend and have recovered from all your exercise.
You are definately an inspiration with all the exercise you do.
The dogs and I do intervals sometimes -- I measured out a loop we do it is .4 miles -- I am going to set a goal to be able to jog the whole thing --maybe by Summer -- right now can do a little over a tenth of a mile. Also have another walking/biking path we go on that has the mileage marked out in 10th of a mile segments so will head over there and get some jogging in too.

They say intervals are an incredibly effective fat-burner. When you do them with high-intensity, that is! So good for you!
I ran my 0.20/0.10 intervals yesterday. Got achey at the end, again, but I'll still push ahead to the 0.30/0.10 intervals on Tuesday. I think my work on the elliptical to mimic the running effort/speed has been working, as I've been running at first at my normal speed and it feels too slow, so I jack it up a few notches. Of course, it's easy to jack it up knowing I'll be walking again in a few seconds. :)
Today, i met my sis in law at the pool, and we swam for about 45 minutes. I was working on combining my efforts to lower my stroke count for a lap with my sprints, so my sprint times are the same with a smaller stroke count. It worked, and it felt like less of a cardio effort. I'll keep working on that. After that, we did the elliptical together for 45 minutes. I did sprint intervals on that in time with my music. Good stuff. Went over to my bro's house afterwards to talk about my vacation and see my niece. Ate some of their leftover lentil dish--was pretty good! Came home afterwards and mowed through some more carbs here (leftover pasta, pretzels). I'm laying low for dinner tonight--eating it soon, and it'll be yogurt and fruit. No starch! :)
I somehow gained 3 lbs from Friday to today, and I don't think I deserved it. Or at least I didn't do anything "bad". So that's annoying. Next weekend, I'll be "bad" and at least earn my gain! :) I DID buy some fruit-flavored Metamucil product from Target, to drink and give me fiber, since I mentioned I wanted to try to do a better job of staying on pooping plans over the weekend. So far, hasn't felt that effective, but I guess we'll see.
Anyway, that's me for today!

nice interval work. and swimming on top of that, huh?
hope the metamucil does the trick. sounds like you really do need a fiber kick, so that ought to work. i used to take the orange metamucil drink regularly. yucky to drink, but it served its purpose. benefiber tablets are good, too. and easier to take, if you need an alternative.

HA! I think the cost of living is just different, Kristine. My hair isn't that long, and we're talking partial foils, two colors.
BUT, if I'm passing through your area, I am DEFINITELY getting my hair done!
