Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Hi Jess!
Hey, you did just fine considering the obstacles you were up against. Tonight sounds like a delicious dinner and exactly on plan. Tomorrow you'll be back to "normal" and have a few days to work the soduim out of you before weighing in. I wouldn't take what the scale says to heart the next couple of days. Chances are it'll be all over the place. Hope you have a great time tonight!
Jacqui
Thanks! Thinking back, I do think I did okay. I'll bump my grade up to a B-. I could have gone off totally and did the tortilla and the guac and sour cream and more dessert and more booze. So, not bad.
And I was at a new low this morning! 198.2!
BUT, I still have one challenging day ahead. But it'll be okay.
I got my updo. It's not quite what I thought I would get, but that's my fault b/c I didn't bring in a photo. It's mostly just a sleek ponytail with some extra height at my crown, and hair wrapped around the tail. I can't wait to put on my makeup and my dress and everything...the hair will look much better then!
Not bad Jess,
Yep, I'm gonna get back on track today. Already there!
The wedding was fun, and the food was great. I ate lightly all morning and afternoon leading up to the wedding. (Egg whites for breakfast, mashed rutabaga for lunch, a protein bar right before the wedding.) So i had a lot of categories left goin' in. I had cheese, hummus, grape leaves, fruit, more cheese, 3 drinks, and then my dinner was salmon and squash. I had a little of the rice, and I avoided the bread on the table. So, too much cheese and one more drink than I wanted (but one was the champagne for the toast), but it wasn't terrible. Another C+/B-, I guess.
I had fun though! I danced!
And i had a great workout already today. I normally did my conditioning running at 5.8, but ever since i was sick, 5.8 feels slow (and I get more sidestitches than usual??), but today, 6.0 felt great. So I did a solid two-mile run at 6.0, a 20-minute run. So, I think I'll keep the 6.0 pace as I work my way back up to 30 minutes. Yay! I also did a few intervals with wicked incline to blast my butt, and a few other running/speed-walking intervals. So, get that furnace burning again!
I need more water. I really didn't drink enough yesterday--didn't want to have to pee during the ceremony. So, today's goal is to drink three liters. And to only have one or two starches, not three. ANd to have extra veggies. More salad. Clean me out.
I was 198.2 yesterday and 199.8 today. Too close to 200 for comfort! (Told you that when my weight ends in nine, I get stuck!)
Happy Sunday!
Jess
hey, jess! happy monday!
wow, you are running at quite a nice pace there! interesting that faster is better *after* getting sick. i'd expect it to be the other way around. do you ever work out on the elliptical trainer? i'm curious how fast you'd go on it. 7.2 is about my highest, but that's at a decent resistance level. anyway . . . i digress.
just wanted to say you did a nice job at the wedding. i wouldn't worry about being up a little right after a big night out, though. you'll work that off in no time -- and it's likely some water weight. :-)

Great job Jess! This wasn't a dinner out, this was a three day event. All that sodium is bound to put a few extra pounds on you. Get some lemon water in, and hopefully in a couple of days it'll fall right back off.
Your running sounds great! I'm still sloooooow. I'm up to 30 minutes now, but only at a 5.6 pace. My plan is to add in .1 each week until 6.0 and then start adding in some interval training. I love to read about your runs. Very inspirational!
So what did everyone say about how you looked? I bet they were so proud of you!
Jacqui
Hi!
Yes, people were raving about me at the wedding. The bride herself saw me in the reception line and gasped, "Oh My GOD! You look gorgeous!" and I laughed. And you're right--it was a three-day event, and that's TOUGH! Each day, I ate little in the morning and lots at night, and had more alcohol than I ever do, and more cheese. It was a true test of my willpower.
Anyway, all is well. I was up to 200.0 yesterday (again, when my weight ends in nine, I get stuck!!!), but 197.4 this morning (and 196.8 about 20 minutes later). I would love to see 196 again tomorrow, or even 195. We'll see. Still hoping to see 189 on my scale by Christmas!
I had the day off today. It was my annual exam, and I figured, rather than rush around to get to work for only a few hours, I'd just take the day and do other stuff. So I got an oil change and my tires rotated and went to the post office....and then I went shopping for me AGAIN. I went to Target and tried on non-plus-sized jeans. None were long enough for me and my long legs. So I got some shirts and cardigans and other stuff and left for Old Navy. At ON, since it was 10am or so, I took my time trying on a TON of jeans. I probably tried on 10 pairs. I grabbed 12, 14, 16, and 18, just to see. 18 was, of course, too large. 12 was, of course, too small. (But I could get it up over my thighs and butt and belly--just couldn't close 'em!) So, I tried on different sizes and styles, and since they were on sale, I got three pairs! One in 14, two in 16. I got new tank tops. I got a new fleece jacket for the gym. I got a new dressy coat. All on sale. I spent way more than I should have, but I now have a great arsenal of clothes that should fit me through the winter. Of course, that won't stop me from buying more, more, more!
Today:
B: egg whites, ww pita
L: salad, chicken, 1/2 pear, string cheese
D: ww pasta, salmon, artichokes, yogurt, fiber one, 1/2 pear
workout: 65 minutes, 25 running, the rest was intervals (sprints, hills, etc.)
Jess
red, no lites
Great workout, Jess! And it sounds like that water weight is leaving you rather nicely. Are there any other events between now and Christmas? Hopefully other than the actual holiday you'll be party "free" and can stick right to plan.
Nite!
Jacqui
Nope, no other big functions. I'm doing a christmas-tree decorating party at my parents' house Saturday, but it's just them and me and my brother's family, and we all eat healthy anyway--and I'll lay into several bottles of water to stay away from the snacks, if there are any! And then the next party is 12/23....and then 12/24 and 12/25, of course. But then that's it. And those should be manageable.
I have a date on Friday, though, and though he knows I'm on a diet, I still don't want to be too much like "those girls" who eat lightly on a date. So, hopefully, we pick a place that's easy to be "normal" and ON PLAN at.
Heading to bed!!
Jess
YOU go out and enjoy yourself
