Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

I think the guy I'm meeting on Friday is kinda cute, but I won't know for sure until I see him in person. I met him on an online dating site and he stood out from the rest. (And he's 6'5"!) Nice guy--we talked last night for a while. I do the online dating thing because I don't really like bars or clubs, and I never seem to meet guys when I'm sitting at the coffee shop either. So, I look online! I'll keep you guys posted! If he doesn't work out, there are a bunch of others waiting in the wings!

Weigh in is today. I'm guessing I'll only see 1.0 off this week. (And then hopefully a ton next week!)

jess, how terrific that you wowed the bride like that.

it cracks me up how you check your scale so often. i do that, too. i like to see those wierd variations during the day sometimes, of course, i like it best when it's *lower* later, rather than *higher*. but i typically am a couple pounds heavier at night before bed that the a.m. weight.

nice plan for your meals. how do you do the artichokes? do they go in your pasta with protein? just curious here. i've bought fresh artichoke before, but didn't get around to it. so i continue to buy jars instead. i *love* artichoke hearts. soooo yummy! used to enjoy them on pizza, now just mix in with stir-fry or have in a ff sour cream dip.

Hehe, do I check my scale THAT often? It's just every morning! But since I know that when I sleep in a little, I weigh less with each weigh in, I do several scale checks on non-workdays. Okay, okay, I guess I DO check it often!!!

Last night, I just heated up a whole box of frozen Bird's Eye artichoke hearts and ate them with spray butter (Olivio) and a squirt of lemon juice with some lite salt and garlic powder. A little caloric for a veggie (looking only at the label on the package), but I had the room. I LOVE artichokes. I had a whole fresh/steamed one on Sunday night. MMMmmmmmm.

ooh, a date! so i'm guessing this is a first date with this guy? i agree -- if i were you, i wouldn't want to look like one of those gals who only orders salad and eats 2 bites. *but* in case this works out nicely with him and you want to spend more time with him, do eat on plan. that way, he'll be aware of the commitments you have made to stay healthy and get to your goal weight. since he already knows you're on the diet, that should be easy enough, so just practice moderation like you always do, jess. you'll do great.

and have a super time getting to know this guy. (ehem -- we want the scoop here post-date on how things go!)

Have super fun on your date, I do hope this guy is fun and picks a restaurant that is easy to deal with.

Good job on the shopping too. ISn't it fun to try on things and have them be too big?

Dinner sounds yummy!

I'm doing take off tonight, and tomorrow, so I hope that I lose big time this week!

Weighed in. Lost 0.8 this week. That's ALMOST a pound, right? Not bad, considering my challenging wedding weekend. I'm not too bummed. I'd wanted to wear jeans to weigh in, but I wanted to see a loss, no matter what, and jeans would have been all heavy.

So, officially 199.2. At least I'm now OFFICIALLY under 200!

REALLY, REALLY not into doing the workout tonight. Not doing the swimming (too boring?) and not doing the gym (too boring?). We'll see how I feel closer to swimming or gym time, which is about 2 hours away. I may convince myself. :)

Otherwise, I have a TON of homework stuff to do, so I might just work on that. or Christmas cards!

Sounds like you had a great time at the wedding.

Hope you get a chance to get in your work out tonight -- even if it is BORING -- try and think of the RESULTS you are getting. I'm hoping for an early night tonight so I can get up a little earlier to get in some exercise -- fell off my streak big time.

Well if I don't get a chance to post before Friday -- Enjoy your date -and just be yourself.

Jess!!! That's wonderful!!! You are "officially" under 200 lbs! FOREVER!!! And you have a date this weekend, and he's tall!

What did you decide about the gym? I wasn't really feeling it tonight either. Today was a very hard "hump" day!
