Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Aww, thanks Kimmi and Jacqui. That really does make me feel better!
He wrote back this AM and it was all fine. He admitted that he didn't have the little hearts and stars and singing birds circling his head about me either, but that I have all the qualities that HE is looking for, so we're in the same boat and he is willing to go out again and let things develop more organically. In the meantime, i'm still emailing other guys on my list. Just to see. You never know! Anyway, I feel relieved about Mr Friday Night.
So, this AM, my first morning weight was 195.2. Yay! But then i went back to bed for an hour, and my second morning weight was 194.6!! Hooray! I'm going to be really careful this next week, cuz now we're back to my monthly "free fall" week, where I drop 4+ or something and shock the LAWL counselors. As long as I see 189 on MY scale by Christmas morning, I'll be thrilled. :)
Happy Saturday!
Jess
OK, now your even losing weight in your sleep? You must toss and turn alot :) I just love to hear about your success. Keep rockin' on!

Did you ever go for dinner
Jess,
Glad you had an ok time last night -- and sometimes attraction grows on you (sure did in my case -- my husband is MUCH shorter than me and that did take some getting used to).
Did you end up just meeting for drinks? Sounds like you did not have dinner --- or did you meet him after you ate your dinner?
Enjoy your dating phase --it is a fun time but nerve wracking too -- and I can't offer much advice since I have been out of the dating scene for so long -- 11 yrs --and married 6 of those. But anyway you should feel comfortable with the guy -- and this is just my opinion but try and take things slow -- so no kiss on the first date makes sense to me.
Glad your weight is headed in the right direction -- When do you think you will be at goal -- by the summer I would guess -- just in time for shorts.
Ok dinner is almost ready here -- going to try and make some instant brown rice to go with it for me -- basmatti rice for DH.

Jacqui, isn't my sleepy weight loss funny? I don't know if it's just more water, or if there really is truth to the theory of sleep affecting weight loss. But I've noticed it EVERY weekend--when I sleep in and weigh in twice, the second weight is always way lower. I love weekends for this fact! Sleeping in, and losing weight!
Wren, we didn't do dinner. We agreed to eat something small at home before meeting up for coffee. That way, if we had a bad time, we could bail pretty quickly but wouldn't be starving. And if we had a good time, we could move on to eat. But it was 10:30 or something by the time he asked if I wanted to go get something to eat, and I was yawning and exhausted, so I declined. I just had a "why bother?" latte at Starbucks--nonfat, sugar-free decaf hazelnut latte. :)
Marg, thanks for the advice on perspective with the dating thing. It's tough to not get all wrapped up in it. I really hope I'm not actively "dating" for much longer, but at the same time, I AM a princess, and I need my prince! WOn't settle for less! :) Oh, and my official goal date with LAWL is April 17th, but I'm thinking I will hit it a week or two early, like by the end of March. That is, as long as my pace for the past 55 lbs continues through the last 25. We'll see!
Kimmi, I'm the redhead on the left. :)

Just got back from dinner at my parents' house. They were doing tree-decorating with the grandkids, and then I came over to hang out and help. My dad made a gluten-free meatloaf (riceflour breadcrumbs and stuff), and I brought over my mashed rutabaga/turnip. I did a good job with portions, and only had a little of the ice cream they had for dessert. (Not even 1/4 cup. Full fat though.) I declined the alcohol, period. So that's good. Got a good treadmill workout today, too, so I feel good. Lots of compliments from my family--my dad (a kinda harsh critic on weight) said I'm starting to really look slender now. Yay! And my sis-in-law said that from the side, she can really tell that I'm thin now. Just think--I still have 25 lbs left to lose! Yay!
It's very cold in these parts tonight--can't wait to bury myself under the covers and lose some weight! I mean, sleep!
