Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Jess, you ARE a princess! Don't ever let anyone tell you you are too picky. Not sure you've ever heard this, but I did enough to start believing it. He's out there, and you'll probably look back and laugh at the "how, when, where" of how the two of you met. My husband and I actually knew eachother for several years before we "met". And, of course, it came at a time when I was through with guys, enjoying being on my own, enjoying the company of my friends, and just wanted to be single. So when it "happens" it'll be unavoidable.
My goal date is April 1st. It looks like there will be several of us all celebrating around the same time. That should be fun!
Have a good day, Jess! It's cold here, but at least the sun is out. We can't really expect much in the north east!
Jacqui
Thanks Kimmi!
I think that's pretty cool that we'll all be doing our goal-weight celebrations at the same time. I'm excited! I can't wait to be done weight loss phase and to start with stabilization. Not too far off, really!
Jacqui, yep, I've been told I'm too picky. I think too much about stuff. I go into things too negatively. All stuff I've tried to change, but I can't. I have standards! I think about stuff too much because I care! And I'm too observant for my own good! So, all in all, this is faring well....he's still interested in seeing me again, and I'm interested in seeing him again, and I have another date almost lined up, so we'll see!
And though I'd kinda thought I'd be up this AM, I was actually down. 194.4 this morning. That's a new low for me--yay! And just think what it would have been if I'd been able to sleep in and lose another pound?!
I think I'm going to be weighing in a day late this week--my friend just had surgery and wants a visitor during the week. Wednesday is my best day to do it, but it's also my weigh in night, and her house and LAWL are about 50 miles apart, so I can't do both! Or maybe I'll go do a quick weigh in at the center here near work? I have one of those keytags so I can weigh in anywhere, so they say.
Anyway, I still want to see 193 by wednesday (wasn't that my ambitious goal?), and 189 by Christmas! Just on my scale! Yay!
Jess
Maybe your follow up date will produce more sparks. How natural can a person be going out with someone the first time around? My hubby cut his burger in half on the first date. HA! He said later that he was afraid all the "stuff" inside it would drip down his face and make a mess. He doesn't seem to mind that now!
I think we should all be cautiously optimistic with our goal setting. Realistic, but challenging at the same time. Afterall, who ever said, "Go for the Silver!" at the Olympics? No one remembers the runner up in the Miss America pagent. I could go on and on. So I say Be Ambitious! 189 is right around the corner!
Jacqui
Jess,
You are continuing to do awesome! Great job! You and I are very close in weight and we both have the same expectation for xmas! We CAN do it!
What is your goal weight again? I still have a WAYS to go. My goal is 150 but more than likely, around 140/145. I remember that you said you were tall.....your picture looks great!
Have a great week!
Shaye
We CAN do it! Yahooooooo!
Mine's just for my home scale, though. I don't expect to see 189 with LA officially until the new year, I bet. But that's okay!
My goal is 170. I'm hoping to hit that in March. *Fingers crossed*
194.4 yesterday and 194.4 today. I was hoping for 193 this morning--I felt "thin". HA! But maybe tomorrow.
Thought I'd check in twice today!
I'm in a workshop today and tomorrow to learn about my "social style". (I'm an amiable expressive.) We had a catered lunch, so I did my best to have a good big salad with the lunchmeat out of a few turkey sammich halves, along with 1 piece of bread and 1 piece of provolone (my dairy and my fat). Oh, and I had half a cookie and it was SOOOOOOOOO good. Anyway, i think that tomorrow, I'm going to pack my lunch. I just don't want to chance the salt messing me up. AND I'm not drinking as much water b/c I don't want to be getting up every ten minutes to go potty. But tomorrow, I'll try to drink more.
Got a really, REALLY good workout, though. I think because I ate a little more for lunch than I normally do? Anyway, I FINALLY hit my running for 30 minutes continuously goal!!!!!! YAY!! Actually, the treadmill shut off on me unexpectedly at 28:30 (ARGH!!!!!!), so I had a 30 second break while it said, "system initializing" and then let me start running again. I did an extra minute and a faster speed as penance, and then did a nice fast walk the rest of the time. Good, GOOD workout. That run was easy! I wish they all were so easy.
Made a good vegetarian-y dinner of stir-fried mushrooms, carrots, baby bok choy, zucchini, and onion with a little soy sauce and powdered ginger. And I had some acorn squash. And I'm about to eat a grapefruit.
Yay!
I really would love to see 193 tomorrow. Not sure if I'm weighing in tomorrow or Thursday--I'm supposed to maybe visit my friend tomorrow after work.
Happy Tuesday!
Jess

When you make your mashed rutabaga, how much is considered one serving? I'm making this now, and i'm only going to eat 1/2 c. I hope that's about right....!
Hugs from Kimmi
Sure, that sounds about right!
Honestly, when I make it with just rutabaga and turnip, no potato, I make a HUGE batch and only use a little margarine and fat-free half-and-half, and since rutabaga is a veggie, I don't go overboard with measuring.
But don't do what I say I'm doing! :)

hey, jess! sounds like you are still moving along on schedule to hit all your goals. you are so successful on this plan -- you should be an la poster child -- but you have heard that before, right?
dinner sounds good. was it another sparkpeople recipe or a jess-creation? ;-) bet some tofu would be terrific thrown in there, too!
