Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Ha!
Actually, I literally ate fruit! No wine for me, it was just a small family party, a quick thing. She was surprised and happy, and everyone had a good time. I wore my size 14 jeans (yay!) and had some coffee and fruit and, yes, a little cheesecake square. (So good.) I would have felt better about that cheesecake square had I been able to get to the gym before the party, but I got stuck in INSANE traffic and missed the gym. Grrrrr.
But I made up for it today!
Woke up, weighed in at 193.8. Went back to bed for about 45 minutes, got up again, weighed in again after using the bathroom again, and 193.2! yay! Let's keep this momentum going. I want to see 191 on my scale by Wednesday morning, so my weigh in at LA is something like 193.
Then I hit the gym and did another 30 minute run! Woo! I'm conditioned! Then I was on the treadmill for 50 more minutes, doing sprint intervals, hill intervals, and fast-walk intervals. They got new treadmills that have fans blowing in your face, which helps me and my sweat brigade. Yay! And a woman next to me on the treadmill complimented me when I was done, telling me she was impressed with how long I was on there (80 minutes, 6+ miles), because her legs turn to Jello after 30 minutes. I just smiled and said, "it took a while to get here!". My "new" tanktop I bought for the gym a few weeks ago is fitting better now--my hips are really starting to slim down. Not so much flaring out from the waist. (And by my morning measurements, my waist is down to 29.5! Which is size 10! YAY!)
I am meeting a friend for coffee later this afternoon, and then hanging out with the birthday girl again this evening. I have a major paper to write that I'm dreading, so I gotta get to work on that. I think I'm going to bail on having pizza with the birthday girl. Even though it's on plan, I just don't want to take the chance of ruining my 189 by 12/25 goal.
So, happy Saturday!

...and Happy Sunday!
I got up a little earlier than usual today, so I could get my workout in and get crackin' on this paper. It's due Tuesday at noon, and I originally thought I'd need all that time. But actually, I'm kinda hoping to really hit a zone today, write most of it, edit some of it tonight, and proofread it tomorrow. Then I can email it tomorrow and be FINISHED. Then my vacation day on Tuesday can be something just for me. Sleep, workout, watch Christmas movies, etc.
Good workout today. Did an hour on the elliptical, burning about 800 calories. Then I got onto the treadmill for a mile walk at 4.1 pace, 2.0 incline. Did another 5 minutes at a slower pace with no incline to cool down. All told, I guess I got about 900 calories burned. Oh, and of course, stretches, pushups, and ab work at home.
Does anyone else get free turkeys from their grocery stores at Thanksgiving if they spend a lot? I do, and I love being a single woman cooking a turkey just for me, weeks after Turkey day! Mine's been thawing all week and is now in the oven. I'm looking forward to a nice turkey dinner this evening, and turkey in my salads all week! Yay!
193.6 this morning. Yay! I still want 191 on my scale by 12/20. And 189 by 12/25! We'll see!
Back to work on the paper.
Jess

Can
Hehe, there's plenty, so come and get it! You'll have to bring your own cranberries, though. I just have Craisins!
i too love turkey, jess. you could have us all over & we'll help you out with that bird! ;-) it'll be great for you to have all those leftovers, though, and you'll be finding some new ways to incorporate turkey into your meals/recipes, i am sure.
so how's the paper coming along?

Wow, Jess! GREAT workout! That run sounds incredible. And your waist is so tiny! It's smaller than mine. You go Girl! :)
The TMs at my gym have fans too, but because ours are a bit older they have dust built up on them. So if I put them going it kicks up my allergies something fierce. At first I didn't realize what was wrong but after the second time I figured it out. Maybe I'll bring in one of those spray air cans that you clean computers with to clean them out. HA! They already think I'm crazy there, it probably wouldn't surprise them! :)
Enjoy your day off tomorrow!
Jacqui
Mmm, turkey! I had some with ww pasta and red sauce last night. it was pretty good! I took a break from it today, so far. Might have some for dinner.
192.8 this morning. I don't know if I'll get my 191 tomorrow. The low-191 weight in the AM would pretty much mean my official 60 lbs at LA at weigh in. But that's okay--it's just a formality at this point. Still want my 189 by Christmas, though i'm worried b/c I haven't had my monthly free-fall. :)
The paper is finished. It's not well written, but it's finished. That was my last grad class, so now I just have to finish my thesis. My parents sent a big green plant to me at work yesterday to congratulate me. Yay!
I took today off to work on the paper, if I needed it. But since I emailed it yesterday, I had the night off last night and the day off today. I finished up all the bits and pieces of Christmas shopping, and I wrapped it all today! Yay! I watched Santa Clause 2, Badder Santa, and White Christmas while I wrapped. NOW it's Christmas! I have two or three more packages coming that have to be wrapped, but....I'm finished. Yay!
Heading to the gym now....
Happy Tuesday, friends!
Jess
Good for you, Jess! You are so much more organized than I could ever dream of being. It must be such a relief to have that paper over and done with.
I'm predicting your monthly free fall is right around the corner. With the workouts you've been doing, that extra weight doesn't have a chance!
Jacqui
We'll see. This shoulda been the free-fall week, and next week is PMS, so who knows. :)
Got ANOTHER 30-min run in today. That's 3 in a row, baby! I even added on 2 more minutes at 6.0 to the end, just to jog things up a bit. Then I did my usual intervals of sprints, hills, and fast-walks. I feel good.
I have another date tonight. He's 6'8"! We'll see if we hit it off!
Another gift arrived today--gotta wrap it!
:)
