Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

6'8"? Wow! But you're pretty tall yourself. You'll have to give us the scoop afterwards. Hope you have fun!

I'm so jealous of your running! I tried today and only managed 1.5 miles before I had to stop because of my foot. So you're just going to have to run for the two of us, and I'll live though your details!

Jess,

WTG on getting your run in and increasing the time too.

Hope you had a good date tonight.

Us old married ladies need to live vicariously through you.

Hi Jess, I hope that your date went well. Can't wait to read about your date with Mr. 6'8".... he's a tall one.
That is a a full foot and a half taller than me....

Oh well, I am married and off the market so it doesn't matter, but I love reading about your dates/life/plan etc.

Yay!!! The date went well!! Yep, 6'8" is tall, but I'm 6', so it wasn't terrible. We kissed goodnight, and he commented that it was nice for him to be able to kiss someone without having to crouch down too far. And it was nice for me to feel like the petite flower looking up for the kiss, too! I had a really great time, and the kiss sealed it. Chemistry galore!!! And he's just so interesting. Really well-rounded guy.

(Julie--can you imagine, if you were single, dating someone a foot and a half taller than you?? HA!)

So.

Question for Jacqui: when you run, where does your heart rate get to, usually? I am in a discussion of sorts on another board, where someone is boasting about keeping her HR at 160 during a workout, and I'm like, "well, my resting heart rate is 41, so 160 is a bit high for me, mine is good lower....i try to get it to 140ish, and 150 is my max" but I feel like it makes me look weak or something. Anyway, I tested my HR over my workout today (hope I get the HRM for christmas), and it was 147 after my run, and 120 a minute or two later, as I walked, then back up to 147 during a hill walk interval, then 153 during a SPRINT. I'm just curious. Don't mean to sound like I want to compete, because I don't--I'm coming from a place of curiosity about others who are fitness minded. (This girl I'm in the discussion with keeps competing with me, and it's pissing me off!)

Wren, a 21 lb turkey!? WOW! Mine was 11 lbs and it still filled two large tupperware containers in the fridge. Mmm, it was good, though. Enjoy it!!

Gotta go to bed, friends....:)

191.4 this morning!! Woo! I made my goal after all!

I was 195 on Monday morning, 192.8 yesterday, and 191.4 today. Hooray! I'll weigh in tonight and see if I hit the official "6-0" with them.

Maybe I'll still make 189 by Christmas!

Yeah, a foot and a half is a bit much. I am sure its hard for both tall men and women.
I dated a guy in college that was probably around 6'4" and a basketball player. Boy was he cute! But really it was hard to even talk to him, never mind the kissing and stuff.
Thankfully, dh is only 5'10" so we are not too bad. I am a munchkin though. I do realize that.... I am hoping my girls get to be taller than me.

Glad you had fun and this guy is a definite see again. Do you think he was into you too? Gosh, your life is so interesting.

your running inspires me. I just started jogging with my little on in the stroller. I know poor time (winter in New England....) but we jog everywhere now, its only short distances at a time, but I put her in her stroller and we'll jog to the mailbox, jog to the neighbors, to the bus stop (the farthest point is the bus stop) but so far so good.

It does make me feel good to do this and not be winded... even if its just a short distance.
