Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Well, I didn't do so great yesterday. My dad's side of the family is pretty overweight, and they're that way for a reason. I tried to stick to my black bean hummus and carrots, and I tried to stick with the other veggies. But I DID have some cut up hot dogs wrapped in bacon, cooked in brown sugar (ACK!), and some chocolate, and some apple pie. And no water, really. So, no surprise that I'm up to 192 this morning, right? I've had plenty of water already today, and I already got in a great workout. So, Hopefully, I'll see 189 again later this week.
Haven't talked to mr. 6'8" in a few days....holidays and all. Not sure where it's going, but I have my hopes up!
Merry Christmas!
(Oh, and I got a cheap HRM for Christmas--enough to at least monitor my heart rate. And that's about it!)
Jess
First, bacon equals sodium. So don't sweat the gain. It'll fall right back off. I mean, who else can lose weight sleeping??? :)
Hope you and Mr. 6'8" can hit it off. You seem to like him.
And WooHoo for your HRM!!! What kind did you get? I have 2 (yes, total gadget geek!) and one has all the bells and whistles, the other is basic. Well, I use the basic one most of the time (except when the battery is dead, like now!). And if I use the "Mercedes", I only use it for the HRM function. So cheap is perfectly fine! Have you used it yet? Do you like it? Have you checked your resting heart rate yet? Are you sick of the 20 questions yet??? :)
Have a Super Duper Day!

yeah, the water weight is already coming off. back down to 190.6 this morning. Still a pound over where I was all weekend, but hey, it's a pound. No biggie. Anyway, I went to weigh in tonight. Down another 1.2 officially, which makes 60.6 for 24 weeks (avg 2.5ish). we did measurements, and I'm down on my bust, finally, and down more on my hips and waist. Thighs are the same, but that's okay--I'm running more. No prob! I just need to work on thighs now, cuz the only reason i'm not solidly in 14s now is my thighs. 16s are way too saggy on my butt and waist! but 14s can be too tight in the thigh.
Anyway, she was tooting about the commercial again--said they're looking for "tall, thin, model types like you". Seriously. ("me??")
Running late this evening to go babysit, so I ate the leftovers out of my bro's fridge. Not the best choices (ham, etc), but could have been worse.
And Mr. 6'8" and I talked for awhile again tonight. We're going out Friday. Yay!
And i'm up way too late....see ya later!

253.6/192.8/170
Well, the water weight is back today. oh well! It's the ham.
Oh, and no, haven't used the HRM yet. But I will!! Yay! It's really just the super-basic model. Nothing fancy.
hey, jess. i'm sure that water weight will slide right off. good that you're not sweating it!

Ha! Good pun! Cuz I SHOULD be sweating it! Hope I can get in a workout tomorrow (and try out my new HRM).
Yeah, at this point, my mindset is shifting into automatic....I KNOW what I need to do, and I know how to do it, and I'm doing it. Sure, I had ham last night and that retained some water. Oh well. I lost 60 lbs so far and only have 20 to go. No sweat, right??
:)
Chugging some water as I write....
Have a happy Thursday, Mel!!
Jess
Morning Jess!
Can't wait to hear how you like your HRM! What kind did you get?
Jacqui
heh -- i didn't even notice that sweat pun i threw in there. ;-)
just a funny story about sweating -- yesterday i was going hard on the elliptical and breathing hard, sweating, my face was all red . . . and my 8-yr-old niece comes over, starts looking at me with a really worried look on her face. i take out my earbuds & she touches my hand & says: are you okay? she was genuinely worried about me sweating and panting that hard. i told her that a little sweat is good for you! :-)
so, anyway, get back into those workouts and you'll start seeing the results you need! i credit my workouts with soooo much: keeping me sane, confident, happy and focused; keeping the weight coming off; and regulating my appetite, too.
you *know* what to do. now -- just do it! ;-) how's that for a pep talk?

Hi all!
Happy New Year's Eve!
I've been having a good couple of days. Not a lot of online time, so no updates. But I'm here now!
Friday, i worked out after work, before Mr. 6'8" came over. I got in a good run and some sprint intervals. Forgot my new HRM again! Had a great date with Mr. 6'8". Saturday, did a good elliptical workout--and forgot my HRM again! Visited with work friends and they fed me dinner--chicken with black beans, peppers, and rice. I had a beer. Yummy! Oh, I was down to a new low yesterday--188.8!
Today, after sleeping in, I worked out--and I remembered my HRM! I was at 42 sitting on my bed, 48 to 52 walking around....then 100-ish during my warmup, 140ish for the first part of my run and 155ish for the second half. Then up to 170 for my sprint intervals, with 130-140 in between. Now I gotta go back and find Jacqui's post about getting my true resting heart rate and then testing myself for the max heart rate and see where I am. Yay! Anyway, I was at about 110 after my cooldown, then 90ish once I was home. I took the thing off to do my ab work, but I imagine I'm still "up" a little.
Tonight, I'm going to a movie with friends and doing takeout/etc. I'll allow myself some wine. :)
Happy New Year!!
Jess
